New Live Charting Resource for Crypto

    Posted: 12 Oct 2019 02:11 PM PDT

    Hi Everyone!

I hope we're all having a great weekend. Yesterday I released a new free project I've been working on for a while. This is a simple page to provide real-time charts.

Instead of aggregated pricing, these charts take the real-time data from every major exchange and allow you to flip through the exchanges instantly. That way you don't need to go to each exchange.

You can also select the different trading pairs by selecting the quote currency in the top right. The live order book can also be found below the chart. I think you will really enjoy it.

You can find it here: https://www.shrimpy.io/price/bitcoin/tether/binance

Please let me know if you have any feedback or would like to see any additional information for future releases!

    Daily Trading Volume

    Posted: 13 Oct 2019 01:17 AM PDT

Is there anything stopping crypto like Tether from using some type of macro in order to send random amounts of their coin to addresses they create and so on every day to artificially inflate their daily trading volume?

It seems like there must be, or else why aren't the less popular cryptos doing this to get more recognition?

Alan Watts would be a buyer of Crypto

    Posted: 12 Oct 2019 11:40 PM PDT

I was working on my crypto trading bot and I often listen to Alan Watts chillstep mixes while programming as it helps me focus. Today, I came across a clip that demonstrated how ahead of his time he was in his views on money, gold, and economics. I love Alan Watts' ability to explain complex and abstract ideas in ways that are easily accessible and his discussion about the nature of money is brilliantly relevant to today's discussion of crypto vs gold. I have no doubt, Mr. Watts would have been an early supporter of cryptocurrency if he were alive today.

But as a means of exchanging the goods and services of the world, it [gold] is as primitive as post horses for carrying the mail.
