Let's say bitcoin surges massively in price in the near future (30k+), how would you go about cashing out?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2019 04:43 AM PDT

Let's say you invest a sizeable chunk into bitcoin before the price literally explodes, what would your strategy be to cash out before the price plummets?

Imagine that at some point ur bitcoin wallet is worth several 100k dollars, do you put all of it into an exchange with the risk they might freeze ur funds? Or do you trade all of your bitcoin for a stablecoin like tether in ur private wallet and then slowly cash out from there?

Im not at that point but i'd like to have an exit strategy where i have the highest chance turning my cryptos into real currency.

Is this a good deal or no? (hypothetical discussion)

    Posted: 12 Oct 2019 05:28 AM PDT

    I have a scenario...

Friend with lots of liquid cash wants to try a riskier coin.

Friend says he'll upfront invest in the coin at let's say 100,000 to keep the math simple.

His other friends (2) invest nothing.

If coin goes up they split the gains 60/20/20

If the coin losses they split the loss so the 2 friends who didn't originally invest anything pay each for 25% of the loss. So worst case scenario original investor loses the 50k and both of the participating friends lose 25k.

Is this a better deal for one group (original investor) or the other (participating friends)?

Let me know if I can be more clear!
