Do you really know your cost of power? In FL it's 13 cents per KWh (gotta love that 17% tax)

Mobo psu cable?
My mining rig of 1070 and 1070ti is crashing after installing a P104 gpu. Practically restarts every 5-15 minutes. Any idea what's going on? No overheat issues according to miner

I knew it was bad but here is the proof. Florida's FPL boasts "We are proud to provide some of the cheapest power in the Country to our residence..." blah blah blah. Bottom line take your entire bill and divide it by your KWhs to get your real costs. IT's BAD. There seems to be no way to make any money at GPU mining any more. Doing some quick comparisons via Whattomine.com you need a real utility price of 9 cents to break even. Based on these rates (which do not show taxes) it seems there is no where in the USA to make money--maybe you might be able to break even.

Is it over for GPU mining?

Fellow GPUers,

Monero is moving on to Random X, Ethash as ASICs (see article below), does anyone have any ideas? Seriously. I'm at a total loss...

Or is GPU mining now totally dead?

If you have any ideas I would love to hear them. Please.

Hiveos/ low hashrate for more GPU

I have been mining for almost a year using windows and awesome miner but windows have too much problems for me. So i decided to switch to linux(hiveos) because it is much easier to manage. I've been using hive for atleast 2 days with my 4 rx580 8g having 28 M/H for each GPU but when i add 4 more GPU which is 2x rx570 8G and 2x rx 470 4G, their hash rates drops to 20 M/H and the rx 470 is only 12-16M/H. What did i do wrong?
