Earn Ether next Weekend Playtesting world's first Live Action Crypto RPG (Being built on Ethereum) Posted: 06 Sep 2019 12:01 PM PDT We're baaacck!! Another month, another round of development, and it's time for the monthly playtest! This one happens to start on the Friday the 13th weekend during a Full Moon!! It's going to be fun. Grab some gear, grab your friends, grab your friends' gear, and come destroy some monsters and loot Ether. Our new randomized npc system is being put to the test, and already has over 75,000 variations. Some of which are bound to royally kick your ass. Playtest starts on Friday (the 13th), and runs through Sunday of next weekend! Enceladus is a realtime hardcore co-operative RPG being built on Ethereum. Oh yeah, it's totally text based and runs in your browser. If you've never experienced the goodness of text based dungeon crawling, you're in for a treat. It's all the fun and danger that modern MMO's somehow managed to design away from in their pellmell race unto Fisher Pricey inspired capital cashcow milking 'business decisions'. We're bringing back the oldschool vibes, with a whole new anarchic twist. Donations, Global Spells(like buying everybody in game a round, +50% experience for everyone), and limited Resurrections will be able to be purchased with Ethereum, instantly, in game. That Ether is then immediately put into the game's Bounty Pool as rewards for taking down the hardest enemies and raids, and upon earning it, can be immediately cashed out to a wallet. Enceladus is being built to showcase how Ethereum can be integrated into games in completely new and interesting ways. So far, I've been seeding the reward pool myself, as well as taking donations for each monthly playtest. (no global spells or other ingame inputs are active yet) There's currently 1/2 an Ether in this months reward pool! Come play and help me develop a fucking awesome Ethereum Game to show the world next weekend! Join us on discord if you have it. Also sign up for the mailing list at http://enceladusgame.io to make sure you receive the playtest info(it will be mailed out, and posted in discord). Last month's playtest we had over 70+ new people login, who found 74 bugs, 9 server crashes, and cashed out a total of .67 Ether from the game's bounty pool(which originally came from donations from THIS SUBREDDIT!!! THANKYOU!!) Since then we've had over 200 people sign up on the mailing list, Other ways you can help
Thankyou again, [link] [comments]

What are the primary limitations of using DAI in a decentralised application? Posted: 06 Sep 2019 03:07 AM PDT I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a comprehensive synopsis for this question, or if someone could perhaps answer it in the comments? I recently read, for example, that the supply of DAI and the ease of increasing that supply for large monetary amounts faces an obstacle, and I was interested in hearing some more perspectives on the topic. Thanks. :) [link] [comments]
Ethereum Jesus x OFFDevcon Collaboration Posted: 06 Sep 2019 11:27 AM PDT In anticipation to (OFF)Devcon Osaka, we're launching a series of collaborations with ETH communities, blockchain projects, and more. OFFDevcon started as a community initiative to highlight other projects and events outside of Ethereum Devcon, so we're continuing along that line. After our unique ETH Magicians shirt the next one is a one of kind pair of Ethereum Jesus yoga pants. Yes, you read that right. Click on the link below and join our communities and we'll pick a winner in a couple of days. [link] [comments]

Decentralised Wikipedia or other collaborative resource Posted: 06 Sep 2019 07:22 PM PDT Would a good example of a dApp be a Wikipedia style clone? Decentralised, collaborative, audit'able? I get we already have a great resource that exists today, but could there be an online scientific journal or other collaboration of human knowledge that could really take advantage of decentralisation and shared ownership? Motivated through reputation/authority/ERC-20 tokens? What vision is shared by people here? What problems do we have today that motivates a transition to replace or move existing sources to decentralisation? What stops it just descending into content that is just further blocked by filters or being another Tor/Dark net? [link] [comments]

Nethermind Data Marketplace - try it and get GoETH Posted: 06 Sep 2019 04:33 AM PDT We have just released a testnet of Nethermind Data Marketplace (and nethermind client in version 1.0). We have a built-in a super simple Goerli ETH (GoETH) faucet inside our UI that you can use to experiment with our Data Marketplace app. If you have any questions reach out to us via our gitter channel / github pages (NethermindEth). Give it a try (download NDM 1.0.1 for your operating system) and run the Launcher. [link] [comments]
