In the Month of July, anti-BCH, pro-BSV/BTC posts were Gilded over 750 Times at r/btc

    Posted: 01 Aug 2019 07:55 PM PDT

    102 of these were platinum.

    650+ were gold.

With the most value for money option, that's 9 x $99 packages, or $900 per month for gold, and 5 x $99 packages for $500 worth of platinum.

The total number may be greater, as only golds and platinums with negative karma were counted.

At least $1400 per month is being spent to try and change the narrative at r/btc by boosting anti-BCH sentiment with Reddit rewards. This attack has been ongoing for at least 6 months.

    All in on BCH

    All in on BCH

Given today is the two year anniversary of BCH I thought today would be a good day to go all in on Bitcoin Cash.

Going all in on something may not be good investment advice however I no longer want to view this as an investment going forward but rather a movement.

Whilst my BTC holdings weren't significant I bought in around late 2017 when I first started paying attention to crypto.

I was naive back then and didn't know the full facts about why BCH split from Bitcoin core and looking back it was a toxic environment with the name calling from people in the BTC camp and also people from LTC camp.

I made a small investment in Bitcoin back then but it is clear as day from a user experience point of view that BCH works a lot better and quicker (as cash should!) so why should I hold onto this any longer!?

I did think I would keep this piece of BTC incase I was wrong however the more involved I get in this space through stuff like reading this subreddit, listening to Roger Ver, listening to podcasts and content from bitcoin.com I realise that this is how a global internet cryptocurrency should function. At least how I think it should.

I am now of the belief that I would rather be 100% in on a project or movement that I want to succeed rather than try and hedge myself and benefit in anyway possible if BTC does become the global internet currency as what sort of world would that be?

High fees, slow transaction times and community censorship is not a World I want to be part of and it hardly makes the World a better place.

We get one shot at this guys, lets do all we can to help Bitcoin Cash succeed and destroy the Core argument of Bitcoin simply being a store of value where this wonderful technology will just become a plaything for the rich.

Thanks to the awesome shapeshift function within the bitcoin.com wallet I am now $45 closer towards my goal of holding 1 BCH (whilst still spending BCH when and where I can)

What I want to do is immediately transfer my 1 BCH when/if I reach it to a paper wallet in the hopes that when my children reach adult age the World is a better place thanks to Bitcoin Cash and they can enjoy more freedom than I ever did.

Have a great independence day :)

Bitcoin BCH is the Bitcoin I thought I was getting when I bought Bitcoin back in 2012: a Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System where the system works "just like cash"

    Posted: 01 Aug 2019 07:51 AM PDT

When I got involved with Bitcoin it was the currency of the Silk Road: a digital hard currency that worked like teleportable gold so you could spend it like cash.

The idea of a weightless, invisible, teleportable hard currency was the most disruptive thing I'd ever heard of. I read the white paper, chatted with the devs here on Reddit, and eventually my skepticism became enthusiasm. Bitcoin could do to finance what the web page did to newspapers and what streaming did to music and video.

Along the way came people who didn't think Bitcoin could continue to work the way it had been working from 2009-2015. These people argued that Bitcoin would need to be changed from a Cash System for casual, cashlike payments into a Settlement System for infrequent, high value transfers.

And the rest, as they say, is history:

BTC embarked on its plan to re-engineer itself into a multilayered network by implementing Segwit which essentially froze capacity at 1-2MB for the foreseeable future.

BCH implemented a capacity upgrade that basically gives us onchain scale equivalent to if we had started with 1MB in 2009 and doubled roughly every two years. Which was more or less what the devs were talking about back when I got involved.

Bitcoin Cash BCH is the version of Bitcoin that most closely represents what I thought I was getting, back when I bought Bitcoin.

And most importantly: that vision of Bitcoin - where Alice pays Bob with no intermediary - remains the most disruptive, most impactful vision of Bitcoin.
