Anyone here put some of your XRP holdings into escrow?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2019 09:15 PM PDT

I've considered it - not sure how much or how long I'd do it for. Just wanting to know how it works for just a normal user and the experience some have had with it. Thanks!

Ripple Insights: Open Letter to Congress and Tuesday Open Session

    Posted: 28 Jul 2019 11:14 PM PDT

Brad Garlinghouse, CEO and Chris Larsen, Executive Chairman & Co-Founder of Ripple published an Open Letter to Congress urging them to support regulation that does not disadvantage U.S. companies

    https://www.ripple.com/insights/open-letter-to-congress/

The Letter is aimed to get their attention in advance of Tuesday's session regarding the Frameworks for Digital Currencies & Blockchain". The link to watch the hearings at 10:00 AM EST Tuesday is below.

    https://www.banking.senate.gov/hearings/examining-regulatory-frameworks-for-digital-currencies-and-blockchain

I am supportive and encourage the actions of Ripple executives and others suggesting Congress not look to the Crypto space narrowly and am hopeful Congress embraces technologies instead of thwarting it.

Time will tell, but I think the journey for utility and adoption is just getting started and Ripple Labs and XRP will grow over time.

I am encouraged by the progress that has been made thus far, but the time horizon remains a little unclear as regulatory clarity seems to still be in the hands of mostly uninformed US political leaders and slow to act Government agencies.

Let Chris * Brad continue to execute the Ripple plan and be rewarded Long Term.

Explain something to a total noob

    Posted: 29 Jul 2019 04:10 AM PDT

So Ripple the company owns huge amounts of XRP and is selling it. https://www.theblockcrypto.com/tiny/research-ripple-has-sold-a-total-of-1-1-billion-of-xrp-36-to-exchanges/

They're selling to both FI's and exchanges.

The noobish question is: is that why the price doesn't move? Most of the supply and demand happens outside exchanges, thus outside our ability to track the movement?

Also, I'm expecting Ripple's XRP is cheaper compared to the market price?

Sorry if this is Crypto 101

    President Trump = pro-American = pro-Ripple

    Posted: 29 Jul 2019 03:55 PM PDT

Ripple represents American innovation at its best and im sure Potus, Steve Mnuchin etc.. are very well aware Ripple & XRP are the next step in ensuring USD remains the primary world reserve currency.

Unless they already have new innovative tech that will ensure the U.S. can compete on the world stage in the new digital age, Ripple & XRP will be the plan forward.

Matter of fact i would not doubt this was already well under way, and the reason for sudden anti-crypto comments were related to Libra. Libra is working towards being a new currency and threat to the US Dollar. - XRP is simply the bridge that will substantially enhance the US Dollar.

You can't expect President Trump to be pro-Facebook coin, when Facebook is about as anti-Trump as it gets!
