Undervalued?

At this point BTC is +56% on the year while XRP is -17.5%. You would have to believe XRP is severally depressed in value (whales/BTC maximalists/????). I keep tabs on the markets and news articles and have been in for almost two years now, so I wouldn't say I'm a complete laymen but I don't quite understand why the asset continues to underperform given the news this year.

What might be the catalyst that finally sets it off and why is a cryptocurrency with a confirmed use case not performing better and dominating the market?
