Data privacy for Ethereum -- Enigma's developer testnet is here! Posted: 11 Jun 2019 11:36 AM PDT We're excited to share our developer testnet. Enigma offloads computation tasks from Ethereum, and enables end-to-end data privacy. This release brings a few key features that are important to application developers: - secret state: functioning as an encrypted database, storing information off-chain and persisting across multiple computations. In this release, storage and networking are separate from Ethereum (we've been building on a custom fork of libp2p) which brings scaling benefits to both secret contracts and smart contracts. - ethereum integration (a secret contract can make a function call to any ethereum contract) - encrypted/ private outputs This developer testnet also features - a brand new CLI making it dead simple to get started - some lovely walkthroughs and tutorials for Rust, Secret Contracts, and building a front-end. - a growing documentation site [link] [comments]

Metamask to JAXX Liberty - Medium Speed transfer Posted: 11 Jun 2019 08:46 AM PDT I sent bunch of Eth from Metamask to my Jaxx wallet about an hour ago! I chose medium speed as it was the default suggestion. How long should this transfer take?! [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Jun 2019 02:01 PM PDT Research by Deutsche Bank shows that the number of cash payments worldwide is steadily declining, while the percentage of non-cash payments is constantly increasing – electronic money is gradually replacing paper money, and no one will be able to stop this process: for example, in the US, as of 2015, only slightly more than 20% of consumer payments were made in cash, and in Sweden, according to 2016 data – less than 10%: in this Scandinavian country, the sign ''we do not accept cash'' has become normal. But progress does not stand still: payment cards are being replaced 5 by mobile applications installed in smart phones, and good old fiat money gives way to cryptocurrencies. The latter is due to a combination of various factors, including the natural human desire not to feel ''closely watched'', to preserve at least partly the anonymity of their financial transactions: de jure, it is a constitutional right of every citizen, de facto the case is different. https://pointpay.io [link] [comments]
