    PSA: BTC Fee's

    Posted: 21 Jun 2019 09:50 PM PDT

    Hey all BTC just went above 10k and that always triggers a round of buying/selling. If you plan to partake please remember to move your coins into position now before the fees spike. Bitcoin fees are (as of this writing) still in the $1.70-$2.60 range (relatively low) so this is the time to get your txs in.

    I want to read the Sevice Terms before accepting it. It has a link to "Prohibited Content" which I cannot visit because I need to accept the Service Terms before I can see it. Some parts should be publicly available even before accepting Terms.

    Irish speakers - is this translation of the Findbitcoin.cash paper alright?

    Posted: 22 Jun 2019 12:49 AM PDT

    This is a translation provided by u/tescovaluechicken.

    I need some feedback from Irish speakers to see if it's alright or if there's anything to correct.

    I could only check automated reverse translation so far, and it didn't give optimal results on the translation of the phrase "Is saigheas airgeadra digiteach é Bitcoin Cash.". But it may just be a crappy translation bot.

    Thanks in advance for your time and help, hopefully soon we will see Bitcoin Cash paper wallets in many more languages!

    English: "Load & Verify" Irish: "Lódáil & Cinntigh" English: "Congratulations!" Irish: "Comhghairdeas!" English: "You have Found a Bitcoin Cash Paper Wallet!" Irish: "Tháinig tú ar Sparán Páipéar Bitcoin Cash!" English: "Yes, This paper is worth Real Money" Irish: "Is fiú fíor-airgid an paipéar seo" (note by translator: "the word yes doesn't exist in Irish, so I left it out.") English: "Bitcoin Cash is a form of digital currency." Irish: "Is saigheas airgeadra digiteach é Bitcoin Cash." English: "It allows you to send or receive any amount of money to or from anyone in the world, anytime you want, virtually for free." Irish: "Ceadíonn sé duit aon mhéid airgid a sheoladh chuig nó fháil ó, aon duine ar domhan, ag am ar bith, beagnach saor in aisce." English: "Learn more about Bitcoin Cash and how to claim your newly acquired Bitcoin Cash at:" Irish: "Chun níos mó a fhoghlaim faoi Bitcoin Cash agus conas do Bitcoin Cash nua a éileamh, téigh go dtí:" English: "Private Key" Irish: "Eochair Phríobháideach" English: "Do NOT Expose Private Key in Photos" Irish: "NÁ taispeán do Eochair Phríomháideach i nGrianghraif."

    Looking for freelance C++ developer to make a small BCH library

    Posted: 21 Jun 2019 02:38 PM PDT

    I need a C++17 static library with source code that can do the following:

    1. Generate a new address (private-public key pair);
    2. Convert public address to QR code PNG/BMP and save it to memory/disk;
    3. Query for transactions statuses on an address using bitcoin.com rest API;
    4. Generate a transaction (signed);
    5. Push transaction through bitcoin.com rest API for broadcasting.

    Dependencies allowed:

    - Open Source secp256k1 static library to generate addresses;

    - Open Source libcurl static library to call bitcoin.com rest api for address transaction status queries;

    - Open Source static library for QR code if needed.

    No dependencies to large libraries like Bitcoin ABC, libbitcoin, libbtc etc or any other dependencies actually.

    Must be a Visual Studio solution and of course be compilable in Visual Studio for Windows.

    Can pay in BCH. PM if you are a freelance C++ developer and you're interested in taking this small paid job. After you're done, you can open source your code too if you want.

    Some tech questions regarding SLP token standard on bch

    Posted: 21 Jun 2019 10:45 PM PDT

    I saw the thread about being able to receive slp tokens and it peeked my interest in them and what they are. I had a read of the following specifications document. On the surface it looks equivalent to an etherum ERC-20 and ERC-721 fungible and non fungible respectively. So it handles both. Seems like SLP implements the basic contact of both send recieve etc to a bch address.

    https://github.com/simpleledger/slp-specifications/blob/master/slp-token-type-1.md

    OK great one token for both however etherum has ERC-981 which allows to split ownership of an ERC-721 token like a crypto kitty and create fungible ERC-20 tokens to create a fractional ownership of the the cryptokitty ERC-721 token. There is also ERC-1155 which allows sending multiple ERC-20 and ERC-721 in one batch.

    Where I'm going with this, what does the SLP token standard bring to the table that eth doesn't? And why would people use it over eth to issue their tokens?

    Am I missing something important about SLP. I'm not trying to throw salt on it. I'm sure there is more to it

    Thanks

    Edit if you want to know a quick summary of what I'm talking re eth token contracts I made a post about it, see comment responses for the whole picture https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoTechnology/comments/c28eqb/ethereum_erc1155_token_standard/

    Anyone know if BCH could be added to the decentralized exchange, Kyber?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2019 08:54 PM PDT

    This would be huge, does anyone know if it is even possible?

    If it is possible then its just a matter of properly incentivizing the Kyber team, right?

    She's a bad BCH

    "One of my key insights on Twitter recently has been that the more information one has access to, the less they are actually able to say publicly, which means the truth is often just buried by heaps of speculation. This has a peverse effect of increasing noise to signal ratios."
