BIP39 24-word mnemonic recovery tool if any 1 word is wrong Posted: 13 Jun 2019 07:06 PM PDT My first Python crypto script! I wrote this BIP39 24/21/18/15/12-word mnemonic recovery tool because I got PMed tonight with a question about how to recover a wallet if you think only one word is wrong but don't know which one. Based on some other scripts I found, credit given in the comments at the top of the program. Modded to cycle through all possibilities. Includes easy instructions how to run even if you don't know anything about Python. Hope it helps you guys. Update: Now supports BIP39 mnemonics of all sizes 24/21/18/15/12-words If it helps recover funds, tips optional but always welcome :). Binance.com to block all US customers 9/20/2019, but will open new Binance US Posted: 14 Jun 2019 12:21 AM PDT This is not FUD. Links below. Recently, Bittrex decided to block US customers from trading 32 coins. https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028996652 Now, Binance (CZ) has stated they will soon block all US customers to use Binance.com. Simultaneously, they will be opening a new US based exchange called Binance US. This new exchange is likely to have a limited amount of coins available for trading. Read their updated Terms and Conditions here (Section 3): https://www.binance.com/agreement.html "By accessing and using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are not on any trade or economic sanctions lists, such as the UN Security Council Sanctions list, designated as a "Specially Designated National" by OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury Department) or placed on the U.S. Commerce Department's "Denied Persons List". Binance is unable to provide services to any U.S. person. " New exchange called Binance US [link] [comments]
It's getting harder by the day to NOT invest more than I can afford to lose Posted: 13 Jun 2019 05:20 PM PDT On the other hand, as big players like Fidelity and ICE's Bakkt are joining the party it seems that Bitcoin is really starting to pick up steam, and becoming too big to fail. So maybe it's not that risky at this point? Like, when I put some money on a savings account I don't say I should not put more money on a savings account than I can afford to lose (although maybe I should given how banks mismanaged in the past, but that's besides the point). Posted: 14 Jun 2019 03:31 AM PDT Should I generate a new address for every single transaction or is it okay to use the same address if it's the same person transfering to me a few times? And why (given they'd already know the history of the transaction, is there anything else I'd be risking?)? [link] [comments]
