Is There Any Definite Speculation In Mining Profitability? Posted: 24 Apr 2019 05:07 AM PDT The opinions about the near death of mining are expressed more and more often, but this formulation isn't entirely true: mining will remain as long as there is at least one participant in the blockchain network that is rewarded. It will just depend on the capacity of the network, and the complexity if it will be recalculated. It's obvious that mining as the thing is not going anywhere, but its core will change, just as it did back in the gold rush era. At some point, single people or small companies were able to score big in a short amount of time. But now - cryptocurrency mining is a heavily institutionalized industry where only giants with the same gargantuan amount of invested money could act and can be that hefty rewarded. Posted: 24 Apr 2019 01:39 AM PDT I'm in the market for a vega 56. Currently newegg has refurbish reference design vega 56. PowerColor is for $239. MSI is $259. Does anyone know why the price difference, why the MSI is $20 more? Is MSI just a better build card? Is MSI just the better brand card? Thanks. [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 23 Apr 2019 07:37 PM PDT I have come across an issue and hopefully somebody can help me out. So I am using a H110 BTC+ motherboard and I was running 2 1660Tis and 1 2080 Ti perfectly fine. I picked up 2 more 1660Tis and tried to install them but the system would not boot up. Figured it may have some how been a power issue since I had a 1000 watt PSU and thought maybe the 5 cards somehow was too much. So I picked up a second 1000 Watt PSU and attempted to do it that way. It still did not work out and I am unsure why. When i had anything plugged into my second PSU the motherboard did not acknowledge it and when I had all the cards plugged into one PSU it wouldnt even boot. So perhaps its an issue with the Bios of the motherboard or something. I literally spent over 7 hours triple checking all the hardware and trying to fix it so I know hardware is not an issue. Hopefully someone could point me in the right direction [link] [comments] |
