Next officially supported wallet? Posted: 21 Apr 2019 05:30 AM PDT
I'm confused as to how such a critical piece of functionality can be deprecated with no officially sanctioned replacement in place. From the Ethereum homepage, Ethereum Wallet is still listed as the official implementation: http://www.ethdocs.org/en/latest/account-management.html My natural instinct would be to always use the official implementation of software, especially something as critical as a wallet. Seeing as there isn't one currently, I have a few questions... My questions regarding the MyCrypto wallet are:
My question about Alex and Co's open source Universal Login wallet are:
Finally, multisig has not been usable since Ethereum Wallet 0.10.0. Any version after that did not allow you to actually hit the 'import multisig wallet' button (greyed out), no matter what address was entered. So, final question;
I would like some of the developers of these software's to answer these questions if possible. [link] [comments]
[AMA] Aragon Black Team - AGP-34 Posted: 21 Apr 2019 03:44 AM PDT The team behind the development of Apiary and Pando is applying to join the Aragon Flock. You can read the proposal here and watch the summary. The Aragon Black Team has several objectives: - Developing Apiary: Aragon's library and standalone app to allow any DAO to bootstrap with a continuous funding model. - Improve APM: Aragon's Package Manager, in order to make it backwards compatible with NPM. - Developing and dogfooding Pando: a decentralized versioning controlled system based on AragonOS, Ethereum, and IPFS for immutable and self-governed code with contribution tracking. - Black Blog and on-boarding : an online publication aimed at spreading understanding of DAOs to a broad yet intellectual audience combined with efforts to spearhead adoption and on-board various communities wishing to experiment with DAO technology. We're excited to hear your questions! [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Apr 2019 02:58 PM PDT Just come across this project, it's Avery good idea however I'm not convinced until more details are released. 1. So it's a forked version of bitcoin, but then they mention there will only be 9mil coins in supply 2. Then they say they are using the latest bitcoin codebase 3. Then they say their transactions have ring cts 4. Then they say they have proof of stake as well 5. All claims no technical information on how they are achieving all this Guys some devs need to get together and deliver this on ethereum. It's the only place it's possible to do a grand project like this Ethereum has the Dev talent The technology (zksnarks) And the community to deliver this [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Apr 2019 11:23 AM PDT Hi guys, I recently had lots of problems with my computer crashing due to a Windows Update (?). After I used System restore to go back about 2 weeks, my computer seemed to be working. So I go to turn on my Metamask to withdraw my ether. I had turned Metamask extension off as soon as I started having "boot problems" (frozen lock screen, or no lock screen) with my computer. I get a "something wrong with Metamask" message.(I assume because of the system restore) It leads me to Metamask website to restore my account. I follow along and get to a spot where I have to enter my seed phrase to import account to my browser. Under that it says "New password" and "confirm" password. (I never wanted to change password so i used the same one.) Extension is then "re-installed" I sign in and WTF?????, ITS NOT MY WALLET!!! Its a totally different wallet with ZERO balance!!! WTF happened here? MY SEED PHRASE and I get a different wallet??? Now my question is "Where is my wallet and how do I get it back" and "Is this someone elses wallet and I changed the password"???? PLEASE HELP!!! Anyone know Metamask phone number?? [link] [comments]

Investment banking for everyone Posted: 21 Apr 2019 02:59 AM PDT Why we think there is a need to make it easier building and trading derivatives and other complex financial products on Ethereum with a specific Composable Multiclass Fungible Token Standard which is backwards compatible with ERC-20 and ERC-721? Do you want to short Amazon and long Alibaba independent of the market and not running a risk on one of the legs? Check our open source derivatives project for ideas. Love to hear your feedback or ideas. https://medium.com/opium-network/erc-721o-a-token-standard-for-financial-derivatives-cb562438c8e6 [link] [comments]
