    Dharma.io legit?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2019 02:24 AM PDT

Is it safe to use for deposits? I have seen their contract has been reviewed but I feel a bit scared. Anyone had the experience?

Maybe I'm just very amazed by the potential of this new technology...

    Dharma is Great for Dai

    Posted: 25 Apr 2019 05:02 PM PDT

Built an asset-backed lending product supporting ETH and DAI currently using MakerDAO at the backend. I'm looking for feedback to further improve the platform.

I have a background in finance and have worked with a large housing capital company in one of the biggest cities in the world. However, this city showed me a duality of classes with the disparities constantly reminding me of the inequalities associated with the traditional economy. I grew up with the best of capitalism and made the most of the opportunities available to me. However, my conscience refused to let me sleep at night when I knew that there was a whole bunch of people out there who were born without an opportunity or had the system take their opportunities away, for whatever reason.

My foray into the world of crypto and blockchain technology began in 2013, during the 'Silk Road Bust'. At the time, I had a very negative opinion about cryptocurrency and wrote it off as 'dark web money' or 'drug dealer money'. In spite of having this opinion, I still had one eye on this domain, the tech and the currency. It wasn't until 2017, that I crawled into the crypto-rabbit hole.

I found myself being engrossed in everything crypto and blockchain. I eventually found out that my calling had something to do with blockchain and decentralized finance. I eventually ended up investing in crypto in the same year while the market was on its bull run.

Eventually, I knew that my purpose entailed the worlds of blockchain and finance. In May 2018, having set my mind on my goals and after gathering my resources, I started the Bank of Hodlers. I spent the next couple of months forming a competent team, as well as working on our products that entailed financial services on the blockchain.

We're here with our first product in our asset-backed lending service. We've integrated with MakerDAO in the backend, hence users can avail extremely cheap credit along with our service being extremely easy to use.

You can deposit your Ether in your wallet created with us, and immediately earn interest on your Ethereum. You can also borrow DAI against Ethereum which is built on top of the MakerDAO protocol. At a click of a button, you'll be able to take a loan at a governance fee set by MakerDAO. We won't be taking any middleman fees though.

As for the ETH whales out there, you simply deposit your coins with us and earn interest on them, hence giving yourself the ability to increase your returns on your ETH without trading.

Sign up for our product here: https://app.bankofhodlers.com

TL;DR: Along with my team, we have built an asset-backed lending platform that currently lets you borrow DAI against ETH with MakerDAO at the backend. You can also earn interest by depositing ETH.

Open source license related to Web3js

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 10:00 PM PDT

I'm developing Javascript JSON RPC API for Ethereum like blockchain platform. And I use some part of source codes from Web3js.

While preparing to open the source code repository to the public, I found a conflict of open source license of Web3js. The document from Ethereum wiki denotes Web3js follows AGPL (https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Licensing#the-middleware). However, there is no AGPL comment on source code itself (https://github.com/ethereum/web3.js/blob/develop/LICENSE.md) and it follows LGPL as well.

    Here are two questions:

    Which license should it follow?

Who knows/confirms the license and how can I reach out to him/her/foundation?

I've never thought there would be Crypto, Angular and Firebase in one sentence, but...

It's good sometimes just to clear your head from checking cryptocurrency's price, or entrap in discussions about the "real Bitcoin" and just do something for fun, with this article I express my interest in the Crypto world and some great dev frameworks :)

For a long time, I was looking for a good Portfolio web app that can help me to easily track my Cryptocurrency profits/losses until I've decided to develop such on my own with the help of Firebase and Angular

l hope this post would have a positive impact on you and next time I will read about your interests and crypto hobbies :)

Wallet security situation & trade subreddit question

    Posted: 25 Apr 2019 08:05 AM PDT

I heard something about insecure ETH due to some wallet/seed weaknesses. Can someone point me to where this has been discussed or explain the situation to me?

Also, I imagine this is not the subreddit for discussing trade - what is the ethereum subreddit for discussing trade? I'm curious to hear informed price predictions.

    Thanks in advance.
