Posted: 06 Mar 2019 07:35 AM PST To preface this, the mods of the Enjin sub shadow deleted my post twice regarding this information, so I figured this was the next best place to get the word out. For context, Enjin coin recently spiked something like 200% due to the rumors that the Enjin cryptocurrency wallet would be included stock with the Samsung Galaxy S10 device.
It seemed fishy to me that Enjin had not said anything regarding these rumors based on how they were affecting the price so heavily. So, I decided to do a little detective work of my own and went to the Samsung subreddit and asked the people who had posted pics of their new S10's from Australia whether or not the device came with the Enjin wallet. One guy was kind enough to do a little digging for me and came back with a not so surprising answer. The S10 DID NOT come with the wallet installed on it. Rather, the app is included on the Galaxy marketplace (app store with apps built specificly for Galaxy devices). This is still good for Enjin, but it's not the game changing play that people thought was coming. Now here is where shit gets interesting.
I originally posted this information to the Enjin subreddit because obviously this is where this post would normally belong. However, within 30 minutes my post was gone. I tried again a bit later, and my post was removed again. Given that many of the subreddit mods are part of the Enjin team and the team works very closely with the sub, I find myself with some newfound skepticism towards the project. I just felt like all supporters of Enjin were entitled to the information that the S10 device does not come stock with the Enjin wallet and should prepare for imminent downward price action (this is just my opinion of what will happen and I could very well be wrong given the irrationality of markets. However, ENJ is approaching DOUBLE its ATH in terms of Ethereum price CURRENTLY and given we are in a bear market that stat is absolutely insane and it is bound for a massive correction) when that information comes to light. Anyways, thanks for reading this guys.
Edit: Conversation with new S10 owner evidence
Edit2: As u/Archibald8043 has pointed out here, apparently the Samsung cryptocurrency wallet is not supported specifically for Australia. I am not yet sure if the person I conferred with is from Australia, so I am going to remain skeptical, but based on this newfound evidence presented to me, this entire post may be entirely unwarranted and I may be an idiot.
Edit3: I'm going to link u/Archibald8043 's comment on what he believes is actually happening because he put exactly what I think is happening currently in better words than I have:
Here's my (u/Archibald8043) take on this based on some credible information so far: 1) There's no way to access the Keystore properly pre-march 8th 2) Enjin will not be pre-installed in any countries, period, it's a false rumor 3) ENJ coin will not be supported in the Samsung Wallet
My prediction 1) The Enjin Wallet will interact with Keystore 2) You'll be able to store all the same assets from the Enjin Wallet into Keystore 3) Enjin Wallet may be the only Wallet partnered with Samsung inside the Keystore ecosystem for now This shit was blown out of proportion and Enjin is scared shitless of saying anything, I've heard the Cosmee might get booted from the Keystore platform for talking too much and sure enough, they've all stopped talking in their telegram a few days ago. Insight into CoinSplit - an automated payment splitter Posted: 06 Mar 2019 04:02 PM PST Hi guys, I'm a personal friend of the founder of CoinSplit.io. He's not a reddit user but I wanted to share some milestones and data that they've hit. To start off, CoinSplit is a way to automatically split Crypto transactions between friends and partners. I've used it for a couple of projects as a donation address. Automatically split between my two partners. Disclaimer, I'm not trying to get you to sign up and use CoinSplit. If you want to do so, cool. If not, also cool. Merely sharing a Blockchain project that has a real use case, and real users. From him, I've received the following data: CoinSplit has been in operation since 2013. In that time (at current prices) they've transacted 4700 BTC, close to 20m USD. This has taken place across 93000 transactions, resulting in an average transaction value of $200. With 1200 active users, the average user has transacted $15000. Although CoinSplit doesn't collect KYC/AML data, with this large of an average transfer value, we can conclude that the average CoinSplit user is a business, rather than a single person. Unfortunately, a hacker exploited a vulnerability in CoinSplit, and made off with 4 BTC. As unfortunate as this is, CoinSplit covered the losses from their own funds. To me, this is admirable for such a small service to do so. CoinSplit supports BTC, LTC, Doge, Dash and ZCash. If you had any requests, I'm sure he would consider adding them if there was enough demand. My use case is splitting some payments we get from our Dash masternode. I set this up with a few buddies, we use coinsplit to keep it fair. I don't have confirmation from the founder but I believe this is the most popular use case. Thanks for reading! I'm curious to see some discussion in the comments about blockchain projects (maybe dapps) that have real users. There is a lot of vaporware in Blockchain, but among that are some real projects. Do share. [link] [comments] | ||
