Last January I invested $1200 in Bitcoin and HODL'd like a beast. One year later I checked my balance and now I'm at $340.

Did the QuadrigaCX CEO exit scam, by faking his own death in India? Apparently, there's a whole industry in India that provides fake doctors notes & fake death certificates to tourists.

Businessman jailed for faking his own 'brain fever' death in India to pocket £1m life insurance to clear his family's mounting debts

Sanjay Kumar, 45, claimed he had died and had been cremated in Delhi, India

But Kumar was alive in India obtaining a fake death and cremation certificate

Kumar- born in India but a British citizen with dual nationality - flew to Delhi on business trip on 3 November, 2011.

He later emailed his wife Anju Kumar, 46, telling her he had fallen seriously ill and had been taken to hospital.

By 26 November, mother-of-three Mrs Kumar received an email, informing her that Sanjay had been killed by a 'brain fever' and cremated.

Has anyone actually seen the QuadrigaCX CEO's body?

Seems like the FUD is still going strong, anyone from 2014-16 around that can confirm same sentiments after the last big crash?

    Posted: 02 Feb 2019 05:18 PM PST

I am just curious if this is the same attitude people had the last time around, e.g. the market is never coming back, or if people were more optimistic back then?

I have been feeling pretty good about the market recently, a lot of new companies working on cool things and good progress on previous projects, but I am feeling the FUD and trying not to let it bring me down.

The CEO Of Twitter Pumps Bitcoin During A Podcast With Joe Rogan

    Posted: 03 Feb 2019 02:00 AM PST

So when do we stop HODL?

    Posted: 03 Feb 2019 12:47 AM PST

I follow this subreddit and I've been following all the masterful advice so my big question is the following. When do we sell?

When bitcoin went all the way up to 19k everyone said to HODL. Then when it went down all the way to 6k everyone still said to HODL.

    Do I HODL forever?

There should be a website that lists worldwide cryptocurrency/blockchain regulations.

    Posted: 02 Feb 2019 06:42 PM PST

I want to keep abreast of regulations regarding digital assets/cryptos because it seems to be the catalyst that the market is waiting for, especially institutions.

Apart from sporadic blogs and articles from mass media, I've found a great paper by The Law Library of Congress (https://www.loc.gov/law/help/cryptocurrency/cryptocurrency-world-survey.pdf) and (supposedly) monthly updates from a Phil Grazer at hackernoon.com; but both are currently outdated.

There really should be an online repository for regulations -- I think it would be a great resource.

Cashing a check from Australia in the US apparently requires three trips to two different banks and a wait of "up to 90 days."

    Posted: 02 Feb 2019 12:59 PM PST

My bank doesn't accept checks from Australia. Go to another bank to cash it. They don't cash checks unless you have an account, but don't worry an account is free. Go through the whole process to create an account only to be told I have to come back another day to deposit the check and that even after that I'll likely have to wait 90 days to see the money.

God I can't wait for crypto to start actually exerting real pressure on this cartel.
