"Peer-to-peer electronic cash means not having to rely on lightning hubs, watchtowers, or pay high fees to send money to anyone anywhere instantly. Also not having to be online to receive a payment, or have the other person set up an invoice to receive a payment. LN is lame."

[Cross-post from r/CryptoCurrency] If you have heard anecdotally that Roger Ver is a "scammer" (or anything similar) as opposed to an idealist who honestly believes in the positions he's taken in the crypto space, I recommend giving this video a watch and seeing if you come to the same conclusion

"We're looking forward, we're not assuming you're gonna run a 5 year old computer. The purpose of this is to say what can be done with computers today and even tomorrow. Obviously we're not gonna be using 1GB blocks tomorrow, but the fact is that a relatively inexpensive computer today can do so"

I find it helpful to review this every now and again. Takes a broader picture of how financial markets ebb and flow. We may or may not be near the bottom, you never quite know!

How will propagation work with full blocks bigger than 8MB ?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2019 01:49 AM PST

The recent stress showed that propagation and verification of blocks stalls when blocks of more than 8MB are being propagated due to latency. https://medium.com/@j_73307/block-propagation-data-from-bitcoin-cashs-stress-test-5b1d7d39a234

Are there any solutions that we have to increase to 20 MB or 100 MB blocks since latency would prevent this? What about 1 GB blocks?

    Thanks a lot.
