    Dear BAKKT.... FUCK YOU

    Posted: 02 Jan 2019 02:11 AM PST

Stop spamming your pre announcements of pre announcements everytime you wish to take a fart.

We get it. ICE, star bucks, big deal.

Either launch your exchange, or just shut the fuck up.

No one cares how many delays after delay you need to open a freaking exchange. You dont need to make a huge cry about it each time.

I dont remember CME or CBoE posting one announcement after another each time they had a meeting or faced a delay.

All of your announcements look like straight up market manipulation in order to deepen your own pockets.

Over last 3 years, Wells Fargo bank got caught. Paid gov’t $2.7 billion in total fines, penalties for ripoffs. Yet bank’s profit over same 3 years = $ 60 billion. Total fines, penalties = 4.7% of profits. Trivial. No wonder banks keep ripping us off.

Tomorrow it will be a DECADE since Satoshi created the genesis block and Bitcoin will be 10 years old!

    Posted: 01 Jan 2019 11:01 PM PST

For many crypto fans around the world this is a truly momentous milestone..

For years we have had to put up with condescending mainstream media, finance and political pundits sneering at the very thought that a group of volunteer developers could somehow create a free, open-source, decentralised and secure way for everyday people to store and send value to each other almost instantly.. all over the planet and beyond.

10 years on and we have over 2,000+ cryptocurrencies, 16,000+ markets and a combined market cap of $130bn.

Everyday the blockchain sector entices more and more gifted talent away from shackles of old/ doomed traditional corporate finance and the global "to big to fail" banking fraternity that went mostly unpunished after causing the global financial crisis of 2008 and entrenching a generation in years of economic austerity.

This new wave of Fintech spawned by Satoshi will do to the banking sector, what online shopping has done to brick and mortar shops.

Bitcoins genesis block was created by Satoshi on Sat, 03 Jan 2009 18:15:05 GMT

Please remind the world tomorrow on all your social media outlets BTC is still here 10 years on.

A global time zone list relative to GMT for your own country can be found here

If Alphabet/ Google see this - it would be great if they did what's right and commemorate this technological revolution/ landmark occasion with a Global Bitcoin Google Doodle for the January 3rd

If peeps want to try persuade them you can try hit them up at proposals@google.com

It's a dream to think crypto has made it this far, the scene may have it's differences of opinions and disagreements at times... however collectively everyone has contributed to make something that they should be very proud of.

I'm sure Satoshi would be proud :)

South Korea looking to create a specialized Crypto District

    Posted: 02 Jan 2019 01:36 AM PST

South Korea are once again making headlines as their blockchain association are attempting to lobby authorities of Gwangju to build a Crypto-Valley District.

While the markets have been less than exciting this year, it hasn't stopped adoption by any means and I swear that every day I have a browse through Reddit, there is a mention of South Korea and Blockchain innovation.

Some examples, creating the first MBA Program, trialing Blockchain voting system, Enterprise grade platforms such as Aergo and ICON launching and gaining traction and even the possibility of a Blockchain powered Virtual Power Plant.

While Estonia, Malta and a few others were making the headlines earlier last year, It seems South Korea are making up for lost time.

What Countries do you think are advancing the most in the space and also the most "Crypto friendly" for its citizens?

    EOS... Really?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2019 04:18 PM PST

I bought my first EOS today. I regularly buy the top 5 cryptos in weighted amounts by market cap. How does anyone expect a token with such a convoluted protocol to ever be adopted? This has been my experience...

    • Install the apparently huge EOS app on your ledger. I had to remove almost all the other apps before I had enough room for the EOS app.
    • Install a desktop wallet called "fairy", it has an unusable confusing interface.
    • Create a personal account through one of the public EOS "nodes", feels like a KYC step.
    • Pay to "stake" some EOS that isn't really yours even though you paid for it.
    • Swap an actual coin for some of the "EOS" and hope it works.
    • Make a note of your "Account" and "public key" so you can hopefully get rid of this garbage when it drops back below the top 5 cryptos.

I'm no engineer, but the creators(s) of this asset are either stupid or cruel.

With regards to crypto "news" websites... Mods, we would love to see your comments here.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2019 07:50 PM PST

If we ever want to see cryptocurrency adopted as a mainstream and "real" phenomenon with real world use case, then we need to have better quality news sources surrounding the cryptocurrency space. If I had to guess, less than 100 million people globally have invested in cryptocurrency. If the cryptocurency community is to be taken more seriously and adopted by the mainstream, getting rid of dishonest news sources and news-posting bots should definitely be one of our first concerns.

I'm wondering right now, "Do the mods of this subreddit have plans to create a list of 'blacklisted' cryptocurrency news sites?" I'm sure there are other users here who have the same sentiment.

    Which projects have a $$ runway >= 2 years?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2019 11:13 PM PST

I'm starting to think that this is a good time to enter into some other pretty good projects. So... R/Cc..

I just would like a "list' of which projects have financially used their icos properly and have prepared for the worst. If you could possibly link to some sort of proof as well, it would greatly increase the curation process. Thanks!
