Dow Jones down 350 points or 1.4%- while Crypto up nearly $14B and counting over the past 24 hours

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 11:09 AM PST

It's all about perspective. The Dow Jones is down 400 points, or 1.68% overall. Crypto as a whole is up $14+ Billion, or north of 14+% overall at the time I wrote this. It really shows you how quickly the market can recover and how quickly XRP can scale. XRP started the day at a low of .288 and now just reached .326. That's a 11% gain over the day. Of course an XRP pull back can happen, as could the Dow quickly recover. The point is, it won't take years to reach a Trillion Dollar market cap. If we grew by $14B a day, we'd be looking at a max of 60-65 days to reach a Trillion. If XRP gets 10% of they market cap, XRP is north of $2. Load up, or miss out. It's just a matter of time.

R3 CTO On The Corda Settler: "Blockchain Interoperability: Towards a Simpler Debate"

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 07:54 AM PST

Interested in XRP but I have some concerns.

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 05:55 PM PST

I have never really jumped on the crypto craze, because I never understood it. I never saw it as a currency the way people talked about it or understand block chain, despite the fact I have gone to five different conferences about the subject, I still don't get it and I don't want to go into something unless I know as much about the details as possible.

Last December, everyone was telling me to get a coinbase and binance account, buy a 1000 dollars worth of crypto, bla bla bla. every one of those people lost their money now. I was turned off by crypto because of the fact everyone was talking about it, and i mean everyone, even my dumb blonde cousin. I tend to go against the crowd sentiment. one of the ways I make money is trading forex, and as a forex trader, if I see over 50% of retail traders buying something, I am going to sell, because the big banks and big hedge funds are going to sell. In my research of crypto, the positions of retail traders buying crypto is 90%! That scares me and because of that, we see this bear market.

But here is the thing, I am interested in XRP, the primary reason being it is being applauded by the banks, and every day I hear stories about some new country adopting their system. now here is where I am confused, when big banks or institutions are adopting ripples system, is it their currency per say that they are going to be using? I have a friend who was telling me that ripple is not the same as the actual cryptocurrency or something similar to that regard. The technology has nothing to do with the cryptocurrency xrp, I have no idea, to be honest he confused me even more.

Another friend was telling me to stay clear until January 31st, he didn't say why, but to just wait and see when it came to this cryptocurrency.

so to conclude, I want to invest a little bit of money in xrp, like a 100 dollars and forget about, but when prices drop, preferably at 10 cents per coin. But the combination of more buyers than sellers, the confusion of what it is the big banks are doing, and some people in the crypto world telling me to stear clear of xrp, makes me not want to and to just wait and see. Any other articles, videos or information on this subject would be much appreciated. I don't want to jump into something without knowing more. This December again feels like last December, only this time people are telling me to buy xrp instead of bitcoin. But due to the more positive tone from big institutions compared to what bitcoin recieved (being banned in some countries for example) makes me somewhat interested, but skeptical at the same time, which is why I will only invest a tiny amount in it should it as some people say, "go to the moon". cheers.

Fundamental Valuation Framework for Cryptoassets - XRP Price Model

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 06:43 AM PST

The author of this article has quite the bio and credibility

-As a director of Ripple Labs, Susan Athey holds an equity position in Ripple Labs, which in turn has a large position in the cryptoasset XRP. She also holds various cryptoassets directly. All references to Ripple or XRP in this paper are based on only publicly available information.

    XRP: High Estimates: 𝑃 = (𝑌t+I)(1+𝑖)−𝑇 𝐻 𝑃 = 1.0($0.56𝑡𝑛 ∗ 10 + $3.2𝑡𝑛) (1.085)−12 𝐻 𝑃 = $32.91 𝐻igh Price

    Low Estimates: 𝑃 = (𝑌t+I)(1+𝑖)−𝑇 𝑁+𝛾 3.92 ∗ 1010 + 6.08 ∗ 1010 𝐿 𝑃 =1.0($0.19𝑡𝑛∗0.5+$1.6𝑡𝑛)(1.085)−12 𝐿

    𝑃 =$6.37 𝐿ow Price

This represents the potential value of XRP, in present value terms, if the "XRP Success Case" is realized.

Building Trust and Regulatory Clarity in Blockchain and Digital Assets - Ripple HQ Expert Views Event

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 01:12 PM PST

Yesterday it was Ripple attending these type of events, now the leading experts come to Ripple Headquarters. Remarkable!

-We invited leaders on the front lines of digital asset and blockchain regulation to Ripple HQ to share their take on the advancements, frustrations and major hurdles facing the industry in the year to come. Panelists Kevin Werbach, Author and Professor at the Wharton School, Valeria Bystrowicz and Sarah Hody, both Associates at Perkins Coie, joined me for this inaugural Ripple Expert Views event.

Moderator Claire Kart, Ripple's Head of Community, kicked off the conversation with a phrase we're very accustomed to hearing in the tech space, "It's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission."

an interesting note on this recent rise with btc and xrp

    Posted: 17 Dec 2018 05:03 PM PST

probably a pump and dump but the fact xrp has risen higher on average then btc is a good sign. could mean more and more people are following it and fomo will have an increasing greater effect
