Posted: 20 Dec 2018 05:29 AM PST Hi guys. Litecoin noob here. Aside from a bit of research that I've done on this subject, would you please explain to me what exact benefits Litecoin offers ( aside from other competitor cryptocurrencies ) that makes it interesting to hodl and use over a period of the next few years? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Charlie's Perception of Interest vs. Conflict of Interest problem Posted: 20 Dec 2018 09:15 AM PST Bloomberg came out with quite a wicked article against Charlie today - just exactly at the point we are starting to rally up into the 30s. Bloomberg hammered away at how not only LTC price dove immediately after he sold, but merchant adoption rate dropped way off too. The strong implication being that noob merchants who might have been curious or interested in Litecoin, skittered back into the shadows when they heard Charlie sold his entire stake - that was enough for them in 2017/18. Bloomberg doesn't quite say that Charlie was a savey mastermind and did a burned out selloff handoff to LF at the perfect time. But they hang it out there for people to at least consider. And there in lies the problem: Bloomberg readers are are bigger noob audience, the exact people who are needed for mass adoption of Litecoin. He has been accused of all this before - but it has predominantly been in crypto news rags - and he has been able to blow off these types of attacks against his character as simply not true. And they aren't true at all. If Charlie wants mass adoption over price he has to consider the trade off he may have downplayed by not owning a single LTC: A perception of interest is a very powerful thing - and we have to take the pluse of those who perceive - instead of telling them what their perception needs to be. Charlie had a fear of the appearance of a conflict of interest - and that that might scare off and hold off mass adoption in 2018. He made the sell off move because he thought it would bring about mass adoption FASTER. OR wouldn't slow it much at all. But what if he now has to careful in 2019 that this "lack of a perception of interest," due to not holding any coins gets too far out of hand with bigger publishers like Forbes and Bloomberg continuing to bring it up to bigger and bigger reading audiences of total noobs. Yes, he can counter by saying look at all this interest I still have in Litecoin! But if those points only get a wary noob halfway there to, "kind of sort of thinking maybe, but then backing off," you are loosing the mass adoption battle at that point. [link] [comments]
Are Litecoin Lightning Tokens interchangable with Bitcoin Lightning tokens? Posted: 19 Dec 2018 02:03 PM PST For some reason I always thought Bitcoin and Litecoin would be on one lightning Network, or would it be two separate networks. Because if they were on the same network, how would one differentiate between the value of Litecoin lightning tokens vs Bitcoin lightning tokens if they were on the same Lightning network?
