Posted: 06 Dec 2018 01:58 AM PST Say I wanted to cool a room with some open air rigs with air conditioning. How would I go about it? Is there a (very rough) general rule for how much cooling I need depending on the power draw of the GPUs, number & model of GPUs, algo they are mining, etc etc? Do hot and cool aisles even matter if I am just recycling air? Bonus question and probably the most important one: The air outside is dusty and dirty. Filtering it and use a constant air flow from outside would be super tedious with an insane filter replacement rate. How could I benefit from passive cooling with outside air with it being 'seperated' from the air touching the rigs? Any help from our HVAC specialized is much appreciated. [link] [comments]
[noob question] How do I mine the crypto I just created? Posted: 05 Dec 2018 08:34 PM PST Disclaimer: I realize I shouldn't try to sell my coin if I don't know how to answer this question. I'm doing all this as a prank on one of my friends. As the title says, I forked Litecoin and made my own cryptocurrency. I'm currently using my CPU to discover the initial blocks, but I'd like to use my GPU to mine coins as well. I'm sort of lost on how to do this, though. I've looked around and found that some recommend I use OS: macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra GPU: Radeon RX Vega 56 8176 MB [link] [comments]
