The only rational valid reasons to keep mining in this bear market Posted: 03 Dec 2018 03:44 PM PST I m getting tired of the same arguments being debated over and over in various threads. I ll try to summarize the only rational valid reasons to keep mining here: 1) You have free electricity 2) You live in a country where you cannot buy cryptos and believe cryptos will rebound 3) You really believe in this new coin that is not listed anywhere and want to accumulate as much as possible 4) You are very wealthy and do that as a hobby 5) You live in China and can source the latest ASIC as soon as they are released and have access to super cheap electricity [link] [comments]
How does mining affect game performance? Posted: 03 Dec 2018 01:47 PM PST I recently bought a 1070 used. Seller didn't tell me it was used for mining until after I purchased it. I've only been using it for a couple of months now, and I'm starting to see character animation stutters, or the animation slows down for a split second. I see this occur a lot when I play League of Legends or Fortnite. While the stutter in animation occurs, my frame rate stays at a consistent 60 frames, and a ping of 45. Would a burnt out card cause this to happen? I'm new to this. I've Overclocked, then gone back to default settings, and neither fix the issue. -Specs- CPU - Ryzen 1700 w/ Stock Wraith Max LED Cooler GPU - GTX 1070 Founders Edition RAM - Ripjaws V 2400 mhz 16 GB 2x8 PSU - 550 Watt Cooler Master 80+ Bronze Mobo - ASRock Pro4 X370 HDD - WD 1 TB 7200 RPM Case - Rosewill Cullinan [link] [comments]
