A question about simple transactions across Shards. Posted: 12 Dec 2018 07:53 AM PST Example: Person A sends 2 ETH to Person B's Ethereum address using a client such as MEW. What dictates the shard that MEW connects to and how does Person B see it when they connect to their wallet via a different Shard. If each person is connecting to different shards does that mean that instead of seeing the transaction complete in 15 seconds or so they wont see it until after several minutes (allowing for shards to update the beacon chain)? Also how will a wallet service such as MEW decide which shard to connect to? Is that a manual process or automatically determined randomly via the protocol? Thanks [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Dec 2018 06:56 AM PST Hi everyone, We forked MetaMask a few months ago into Nifty Wallet, a small project that was friendly to side-chains and other networks who wanted the MetaMask experience but were not able to be added or integrated into MetaMask. It has since become much more than that especially with this new feature which allows you to directly interact with Smart contracts from the browser extension! Check out the post by our core developer, Viktor Baranov, on the feature and check out the video below to see it in action! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qnlKqAJLx8&feature=youtu.be [link] [comments]
