    I AM OUT

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 03:50 PM PST

I put in $10k a while ago and this year has been rough. I've been busting my ass working two jobs saving what I can and dollar cost averaging but honestly it's so much stress.

Suffice it to say I'm going to capitulate and pull out what I can.

Fucking stock market, what a shit show. I'm mostly out.

Diversifying in to crypto now baby!

“I should’ve cashed out in January”

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 08:08 PM PST

No doubt every single person here is beating themself up with this sentence in their head every hour. I know I am.

It's painful to see so much money on the table - - sometimes life changing amounts - - and not grab it because you believe in this technology and it's ability to change the world. And you weren't ready to completely exit just yet.

You decided to hold through the peak. Maybe you were thinking it would continue rising. I thought it would at least plateau and continue to grow slowly.

Whatever the reason was, you made a conscious decision to believe in this tech and recognize it's still in its infancy.

So you took the gamble that holding through the next crypto winter would pay off.

Hang in there. This too shall pass.

This sub is getting overrun with legacy finance bro's like "top-kek" who never believed in this tech in the first place, and are celebrating this temporary downtrend. They're literally filling every single thread with pessimism, fear, uncertainty, and doubt.

Still others are crypto investors but they consider it beneficial to themselves to declare more bloodbaths are in the way, simply because they've got a buy order in much lower and don't care about the damage they're doing to morale.

I saw a guy tonight say he still sees a bright future for crypto, and he got -19 downvotes. 😒

We spent the last 10 years building this tech, and crypto isnt going anywhere. It's here to stay.

Ignore the stock bro's and concern trolls. Accumulate. And be patient. Keep an eye on the projects that continue to show progress during the worst months, and make sure you have a footprint in as many of them as your funds will allow.

Most of all, remember that Bitcoin was created to bring financial sovereignty to the 6 billion unbanked in the world. To create a financial system independent of Banks and governments that can't be wrongfully seized, and to onboard the poorest in the world to a global economy for the first time, without permission.

That's what this is all about. You're investing in something both powerful and meaningful. Not many people can say that.

I can promise you this time next year, the picture will be a very different one and you will be happy you stuck with it.

The next Bitcoin Halving is coming April 2020 and pricing-in will begin around January. If this one plays out like the last three, all of 2020 will be a year of excitement and growth. 6 to 10 months after the last three halvings, Bitcoins price 18x'd .... 12x'd .... and 8x'd from where it was going into the Halving.

Where we are sitting in December 2020 will be utterly astonishing.

Bitcoin Cash Falls Below Ethereum’s Price for the First Time, is This the End For BCH?

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 10:14 PM PST

Is now the absolute perfect time to invest, or am I just being naive?

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 09:07 PM PST

So it's fair to say that troop morale is low as shit. But so is the price of every fucking coin on the market. It appears that this market is moving out of speculation territory, and into actual real world functionality, paired with appropriate regulation.

It seems like everyone is hanging their heads and have given up on the market entirely, but I have this overwhelming urge to drop a significant amount of money into the market. Has anyone else done this recently? I can't imagine I'm the only one with these thoughts.

Here is the link to the video where he starts to talk about their plan to trade with the funds that they have

Edit - Title should also say Youtube (though they did Tweet it)

This is an official communication from the team that states that they're going to be day trading with the funds that they raised for the PREVIOUS ICO. This is one of many red flags on this project that have been raised in the past in this subreddit. Check it out for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

Not all of us are here just for profits. Some of us want to drive change. Here's why humankind needs a deflationary decentralized global currency

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 07:24 AM PST

    - Current economic model is a constant growth model which is fundamentally unsustainable by definition on a finite planet.

    - Inflationary financial model is a design feature to disincentivise holding, and incentivise spending - to spur the constant growth consumeristic economy (again, which is fundamentally flawed).

    - Current consumerism is literally destroying the planet and threatening existential level catastrophies on multiple fronts. The planet will surrive, but we may not. Global warming, depletion of topsoil (55 years remaining), Phytoplankton collapse causing O2 collapse due to acidifiying oceans, Bee and insect collapse, Plastic in oceans, etc. Every one of these is strongly linked to the constant-growth-consumeristic unsustainable economy.

    - We either put ourselves into lower energy lifestyles, or nature does that for us - in potentially extreme ways such as "your planet can no longer grow food because you have no more soil - it's all in the oceans/rivers". Or, "good job, you maximized profits for shareholders, BTW I've sunken your entire planet under the oceans - best of luck".

    - Humans are too stupid collectively (smart individually, stupid as hell collectively) to reverse this.

    - Compound this with the fact that the people in charge of these decisions are directly supported by the people who have financial vested interest in NOT changing their extremely financially lucrative (but environmentally devastating) practices.

    - Humankind NEEDS a deflationary currency, so that consumerism is DISINCENTIVISED. People are stupid, and if you want them to do something their best interests, the only way is to create an incentive to do that. Right now the incentive is to spend - we need the incentive to be to reduce spending.

    - The economy WILL take a hit, but that hit is absolutely required if we are going to continue being able to survive. The only way we can get there is to take power out of the corrupt, put power to the common, and even if not actual POWER, but CONTROL.

    - We need to stop giving power to the PRIVATELY owned and controlled organisation which controls the current financial system (fiat). We NEED to move away from consumerism. We need to move away from inflationary currencies which drive consumerism. We need to incentivise less spending and a lower energy footprint lifestyle. Deflationary currency such as BTC (or whatever ends up winning) needs to happen, as a matter of survival of the human race.

    - Decentralized currency means we take voting/decision on currency policy away from the centralized few who will make decisions entirely on maximizing their own family lecacies/profit.

Not all of us are here just for profits. Many of us are here because we NEED change. Like, or else we all fucking die. Well, likely not US, but our grandkids who we are constantly screwing so that we can have 5% increased profits every year, year on year, with no thoughts towards how sustainable increased resource consumption to drive these profits is - on a finite planet.
