My thoughts on people hating Charlie Lee Posted: 17 Nov 2018 11:20 AM PST He creates something that goes from 0$ to $375.29 USD, he then tell you crypto is in a huge bubble and could enter a multi year bear market and that he sold near the all time high. If the creator of something sells therefore you should too because he has a better understanding of what's going on since he's been in since day 1. Had you listen to Charlie Lee at any point in time you would have made money (I did). How could you hate a guy who made you money? Therefore everyone hating on Charlie hasn't made any profit on Litecoin or else you wouldn't hate him, you would love him. [link] [comments] | ||

If Litecoin were forking into existence for the first time today, 2018, where would it's price go? Posted: 16 Nov 2018 03:57 PM PST Alternate universe and hindsight being 20/20: What if right after these two contentious forks of this last year were finally out of the way, Bitcoin Core and LN announced they had a new scaling solution coin they were calling Litecoin? And further, LN/Core said this new "Litecoin," was a coin developed by Charlie Lee held under wraps (kept in cold storage all these years) - but ready now in 2018 to launch as a fork with Bitcoin's blessing and strongest marketing endorsement? In this alternate universe, where would Litecoin's price go immediately after such a fork? Beyond the moon, right! Immediately to the 1/4 ratio we have all been coveting and waiting for, is my guess. Why, you may ask? Because, Bitcoin would say so that's what it should be. And the "modern," forks seem to generate more frenzy (Charlie didn't have mainstream CNBC plugs back in 2013). Finally, instead of Charlie having to always say, "Bitcoin is my big brother," it would be Bitcoin saying, "Litecoin is my little brother!" That's a big difference. If the LF can be thought of as a lobbyist and the ONLY thing they accomplished this year was getting Blockchain/Core/LN (aka BITCOIN's marketing team) to start preaching the message that Litecoin IS PART OF Bitcoin (not just a spin off), the mass adoption gets that much easier if the two coins are marketed to the noob masses AS ONE SOLUTION. If this last year has proven anything, simply tacking the name "bit" on to any shitty fork can vault a coin's price into the many hundreds or thousands of dollars - because people THINK there maybe is a relationship there. I think Litecoin is the coolest possible name - but what if Charlie had named it BitLite? or LiteBit? Would that subliminal link-up to Bitcoin have helped us get closer to 1/4 over these last few years? Charlie, to his credit, is always telling the world how closely related BTC and LTC are - how much they share and respect each other. But what has really been missing for LTC this whole time is that there hasn't been AS STRONG of voice coming from the other POV, Bitcoin Core's POV. What if THAT side was strongly pushing and marketing LTC as their solution? Are they supportive - sure - but that isn't as much as it could be. If forked off of BTC today with Core's blessing and just decent PR, it is easy to imagine how quickly LTC would achieve the coveted 1/4 ratio to BTC. LF is certainly doing great things getting other big names out there to embrace LTC and endorse it. But the biggest name of all (bigger than Amazon or Google) in this case is BITCOIN - and if they can get that name to start strongly advocating and preaching what LTC is - then noobs don't have to understand it - they can just trust that LTC is part of BTC. That is the best way to reach the moon. If you agree, up vote this to the point LF has to take note. [link] [comments] |
