Posted: 26 Nov 2018 07:54 AM PST Looking to buy a motherboard for my 4 x 1080ti rig. Looking into the GIGABYTE GA-Z270P-D3. Is this any good? I know most people like the Z270s, but I haven't heard much about the -p. Cost is much cheaper too - $60 vs $200 [link] [comments]

Minerstat's msOS, ethOS or HiveOS? Opinions & Experiences? Posted: 26 Nov 2018 01:47 AM PST 1) What's your opinion and/or experience with Minerstat, HiveOS or ethOS? 2) Which do you prefer? 3) Have you had issues with unstable hashrates or sudden connection loss on any of them? Background: I've been fiddling about with a GTX1080 on an extra PC for a while now, it ran Windows at first, then I started looking at the dedicated mining OS's and settled on Minerstat's msOS. If I remember correctly the only reason I specifically chose it was because I got help from the MS team on Discord before I did the HiveOS one and it worked (crappy board, but got it working on msOS). Now I added an 8 GPU rig running AMD RX580's on an Biostar TB250 BTC+ (it is second hand from someone I work with, he turned it off when the prices tanked and said I can use it until I can afford a new rig of my own). I've had some issues with stability, it came with ethOS (what the friend used, I just changed my wallet address), but that has been a bit hinky and ranges from 25MH/s to 226Mh/s total. I then loaded Minerstat on it to see if that worked better since the afore mentioned single nVidia card had been doing great on it. It worked well for a day or two then it started loosing connection a lot. after rebooting it would have issues with Claymore not hashing and so I put ethOS back in, but now it also loses connection after a few minutes and the hashing instability continues. I swapped the board with an ASUS Mining Expert and I'm checking the risers one by one, but also wondered if maybe HiveOS could be a better alternative hence asking on here. [link] [comments]
Nicehash NHMP miner EOF error. Posted: 26 Nov 2018 01:21 AM PST Hey so I am running Nicehash on my desktop with a 1070 like I have been for the last several months, but some time within the last few days nicehash started mining NHMP but when it tries to start the miner it gives out an error. Connected to nhmp.usa.nicehash.com:3200 nhmp | Subscribed nhmp | Disconnected nhmp | read: End of file Any ideas? I could just disable that miner, but I would rather get it working.
