    Posted: 25 Nov 2018 08:06 PM PST

Thread topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Discussion related to recent events
    • Technical analysis, trading ideas & strategies
    • General questions about altcoins

    Thread guidelines:

    • Be excellent to each other.
    • All regular rules for this subreddit apply, except for number 2. This, and only this, thread is exempt from the requirement that all discussion must relate to bitcoin trading.
    • This is for high quality discussion of altcoins. All shilling or obvious pumping/dumping behavior will result in an immediate one day ban. This is your only warning.
    • No discussion about specific ICOs. Established coins only.

If you're not sure what kind of discussion belongs in this thread, here are some example posts. News, TA, and sentiment analysis are great, too.

    Understanding bitmex fee's

    Posted: 26 Nov 2018 01:10 AM PST

I'd like to try using leverage in the future when I am confident what direction we are moving in. I looked at bitmex and would just like to understand how to calculate fees. I'm not planing to day trade actively but rather take a 2x position and hold it for a long period. There are maker fee -0.025% taker fee 0.075% long funding -0.0493% short funding 0.0493% funding interval 8 hours

Let's say I want to buy for $10.000 and use 2x and hold that position for 365 days. How would I calculate the fees for doing that?

    Bitcoin Market

    Posted: 26 Nov 2018 09:22 AM PST

From my analysis it appears Bitcoin Market is practically dead or barely used. Is this accurate/true?

If so, is there something specific that Bitcoin Market does or doesn't do that causes it to not be as popular, successful, widely used or otherwise useful as other competing markets/exchanges? What are these things? What can help to improve Bitcoin Market so that it will be more accepted or useful to others?
