Bitcoin moving in-sync with global equity markets Posted: 20 Nov 2018 02:51 PM PST Global equity markets have been very off the past week or so, and now we're seeing some rather lively price action to the downside all across cryptospace. There are definitely fundamental issues at play that may be exacerbating the crypto sell-off, like the recent SEC crackdown on old ICOs, the Bitcoin Cash debacle, bakkt being delayed, etc. I couldn't help but notice the correlation, though. I think there is some likelihood that crypto will follow equities if we continue to see a downtrend there. This overall correlation may change depending on interest rate environments and any potential quantitative easing programs. Say USA cuts interest rates and implements QEx I think we should see gold and crypto both appreciate as an apolitical hedge against a weaker dollar. [link] [comments] |
Who could have predicted it just a week ago? Posted: 20 Nov 2018 11:23 AM PST Now, the price of bitcoin is below $4,700 which can be quite alarming. Who could have predicted it just a week ago? What are the prospects? There is so much uncertainty some traders feel really stressed and aren't sure they can successfully trade in a market like this. There are things that one should remember when trading crypto. High volatility is what describes cryptocurrency market. It is in its nature to rise high and to fall low. What does it tell you? If you are balanced enough and have your emotions under control you accept that this is just a part of the game. High volatility. High gains. Big losses. The main issue here is that it's not easy to keep calm when everything around you seems to fall apart. Are your investments in danger? Have you lost your mind investing and trading in such horrible conditions? Will bitcoin disappear with all your capital you invested in it? These worrying thoughts are a common place for experienced traders. Don't let them dwell on you. Nothing is forever as they say and the night's darkest hour is right before the dawn. Keep analyzing things and work with what you have. Find the right approach and stick to your game plan. Control your emotions. Trade smart. [link] [comments] |
Anticipate Future BTC Price Using Volume Indicators and Bullish/Bearish Sentiment Posted: 20 Nov 2018 06:05 PM PST What does everyone think of using Net Volume as an indicator for Bullish and Bearish Bitcoin Price Outcomes? I developed this script, and the results have been great in the bear run - https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/zVvphLns-Bitcoin-Bullish-Bearish-Volume-Based-Trading-Strategy/ Has anyone used a similar strategy before? What are your thoughts on shorting during (-) Net Volume, and Longing during times of (+) Net Volume? [link] [comments] |
theory on current btc movement Posted: 20 Nov 2018 01:30 PM PST Big sell off in btc from bcash investors to try and prop up bcash spawns. Both bcash projects will end up in a dumpster fire. BTC sell off triggers final weak hands from last bull run. All the while, the traditional markets are starting to tip over and hedge funds are selling out of stocks, bonds, real estate and putting in a floor for btc. This quick crash is the start of the next bull run as more traditional money flows into btc with or without a delay from bakkt. If anything, the big institutions and hedge funds want to get in before their clients, hence the delay in opening trade on bakkt. Still possibility for btc to go down to 3000 as this is when bcash was created. thoughts? [link] [comments] |
