Beware: Possible exit scam of NEO's Quarteria.

    Posted: 19 Nov 2018 12:44 AM PST

People, be aware that Quarteria (https://quarteria.io/) is possibly planning an exit scam.

They have extended their ICO time over and over again and haven't respected their roadmap at all.

Their telegram channel is filling with obvious russian bots.

I was asking for more info regarding the project and they kept telling the same stuff for months. "We have signed up over 100 brokers on our platform". When asking for proof, they just repeated the same sentence over and over again.

I am now banned from their Telegram for asking too many critical questions and noticed they just removed the team member information from their website.

Oh, after being listed on Switcheo, the team dumped most of their tokens. Ico price was between 0.12 and 0.15 USD if I recall correctly. Current price is 0.002 USD.

During the ICO the CEO, Michael Misiti, stepped down and Mia Vissichelli took his place. On her LinkedIn she just changed her role within the company from Quarteria CEO to "community leader".

    HUGE RED FLAGS here!

    Beware!

Bad sentiment made me recap my decisions over the last year (conclusion, I'm an idiot) and also make me question the fundamentals behind blockchain / dezentralisation

    Posted: 19 Nov 2018 04:14 AM PST

My recap about something I "invested" in:

Very recently I put some effort to dig into a project friends of mine are invested (I was invested aswell, finally sold my bags). And my results are shocking, it took very little effort to see what a shitshow is going on. They are so far off from reality VS what is promised. There seems to be no progress at all, and still the subreddit is somewhat active and posts moonposts all day and sucks in others that don't do any research like me. Their "marketcap" is still in the billion-area, I know that means nothing, if somebody decides to take a big dump, it would probably lose another 90%. It even used to be 20 billion (twitter has 25). How delusional was I (were we?) to not see how overvalued projects were (still are?). I feel like such an idiot thinking back over the past year and I think the current sentiment on crypto is totally reasonable.

And there are a number of questions unanswered, that prevent me from seeing the blockchain-future others dream of:

    • Why would anyone ever pay with BTC / Crypto? Its hard to use, risky, volatile AF and usually has entryfees + exitfees + premium when u buy something. I don't know a single person that buys something on a daily basis with crypto for convenience reasons.
    • The scaling issues still remain the same, nothing seems to change. Currently the adjustments make it possible to squeeze in a few % of additional transactions but reality is, that if we get the adoption that we all want, we would need x100 / x1000 tps.
    • Is there a single DApp that makes sense and gets used? The only DApps that I saw so far are gambling, trading and ponzi schemes / scams with exit-plans.

I honestly think the Bitcoin cash nonsense is paid for by someone to cause rifts and turmoil to Bitcoin. It seems all too scripted and silly just before the absolute big money is about to enter the market through Bakkt. I mean come on Bakkt is huge its set up by the owner of the NYSE, this is without doubt the gateway to huge amounts of money fooding into bitcoin.

There are I believe people and families in the world that want to grab a piece of Bitcoin as hedge to their wealth. I believe they are accumulating right now.

Add other mainstream scumbag organisations like the SEC to the the mix and its clear FUD has become a big thing now for a specific purpose right now.

Anyone who takes Craig Wright seriously are morons. The guy is a bankrupt Australian businessman claiming he invented Bitcoin. Thats so comical and ridiculous I don't know where to start. At that point he should be ignored by all an zero time spent on this paid fool. Of course I'm typing this post so I add to the story but seriously just stop with this now...not cause of censorship but cause its completely irrelevant.

Amun AG ETP | a few observations

    Posted: 18 Nov 2018 04:25 PM PST

    https://7bitcoins.com/switzerland-approves-cryptocurrency-etp/

This is an interesting development from Amun, who only released the underlying index (HOLD5) in September, which should attract serious AUM.

I'll be following closely the progress of sales, distribution and performance. However, I would say that the SwissBorg SB20 index is far superior than the Amun Index.

    A few initial observations:

    • This is an ETP, NOT an ETF as lazily reported by many news outlets
    • An ETP is a collateralised debt security, not a fund
    • Investor is exposed to the credit risk of Amun AG (the "Issuer")
    • The Issuer is not regulated
    • The Issuer is 100% owned by the Amun Technologies Limited (the "Index Sponsor")
    • The Board of the Issuer is majority controlled by employees/founders of the Index Sponsor. The 3rd director is linked to MCO Monaco
    • Institutional product - not for retail distribution (in EEA)
    • The Issuer "intends" to use proceeds from the sale of products to buy for the underlying components for collateral AND for general corporate purposes - No definition of "general corporate purposes".
    • Products aim to be 100% collateralised, however due to price changes this may not be possible (also costs will be taken from realisation of assets - so would likely to be less than 100% anyway)
    • In event of default of Issuer, investors are ranked 4th in priority
    • Custody of collateral is from Kingdom Trust Company (the "Custodian") through a multi layer, multi authenticator, cold storage security platform
    • Custodian owns the wallet private keys
    • UCITS eligible (although approval by UCITS member regulator required)
    • This is a passive investment, Amun do not provide active management
    • Redemptions are limited, an investor has right to redeem on an annual basis (upto 60 days notice required)
    • Daily liquidity through SIX not guaranteed
    • ETP provides exposure to the HOLDL5 index; a basket of crypto assets
    • Delta 1 synthetic exposure through put options
    • the underlying index, HOLD5, is maintained by MVIS , a VanEck company
    • Index components are 5 of the top 7 eligible crypto assets, based on market cap (top 3 plus 2 of next 4)
    • Index components are essentially BTC, ETH, BCH, XRP, LTC, XLM, EOS,
    • rebalanced monthly
    • min/ max weighting: 3%/50%
    • Index eligibility criteria includes :

      • >$1b market cap (30 days)
      • >$25m daily volume (30 days)
      • no stable or privacy coins
      • asset existed for more than 12 months
      • trades > 33% of circulating supply (30 days)
