- I really hope C&C (Coingeek & nChain) are going to attack exchanges and try to cause as much chaos on BCH as possible. I want to see how strong Bitcoin Cash is. And this might even force hidden actors in to revealing themselves. I want to see how much the chinese miners care about BCH.

Posted: 03 Nov 2018 09:56 PM PDT "The goal of Bitcoin.com is to continue the original vision of Bitcoin and help spread peer-to-peer electronic cash to the world. Our greatest opportunity to do this is with Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Bitcoin.com aims to make trading with your fellow man an inalienable human right. We are fighting for the global adoption of permissionless, uncensorable money. While revenue is certainly one of the many goals of Bitcoin.com, and is one we want to keep front of mind, it is only one cog in the many wheels that keep Bitcoin.com driving the industry forward." -- Roger Ver [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Nov 2018 03:14 PM PDT How can the people here who want the success of Bitcoin Cash follow a leader who if he does not get what he wants, wants to burn the entire thing down to the ground. What is more important, the success of Bitcoin Cash or that CSW gets what he wants? And what if in the future "what CSW wants" changes again like it has changed before? How can anybody follow a guy like that? A guy who out of hundreds of roads to a destination only wants to go on one road and if he can't have it, he rather not arrive at all and destroy the whole thing. People saying "There will be no split, you split and we bankrupt you" are like perpetrators of an abusive relationship. "there will be no divorce, you try to divorce and I will hit you!." Imagine if Bitcoin Core would have threatened us like that when we wanted to split. CSW is evil and abusive. To those that think a chain split is horrible and the worse thing ever, you are a bunch of hypocrites. We split from Core and it was the best thing ever. Forks are awesome, they allow people to part ways and leave each other alone. Attacking the other side of the fork AFTER a split to force people back is EVIL and is not freedom. Human nature will cause thousands of forks to be created. Thats completely expected and normal. Posted: 03 Nov 2018 11:52 AM PDT Human nature will cause thousands of forks to be created. That's completely expected and normal. People will want to create their little corner because all the other ones are wrong! This we see here on reddit, in general in religions and honestly this is just human nature. Its easier to disagree than to understand another. Where Bitcoin (Cash) is different is that to counter this human nature to split, there is a huge incentive to join. You can only transfer value to another human if you agree on the version if Bitcoin to send it on. As such network effects will kick in and unite all the differences of opinion to be practically limited to a very low number of chains that actually gain utility for the majority. This is the best part of Bitcoin, the marriage of the social and technical (where everyone can have their own opinion) with the cold rational of the economics of Bitcoin. Economics states that as more merchants use crypto, the number of viable chains will go down. Network effect will win. My message in these fun days: Keep working on acceptance in shops, keep converting your friends to use Bitcoin Cash, and in the end the only metric that counts is how many people use it on a day to day basis. A "hash war" thought experiment Posted: 03 Nov 2018 01:18 PM PDT An analogy: Let's say I own a house, and there's a home builder (lets say his name is Bob). Bob keeps asking me if he wants me to have him build me a house... but I tell him "no thanks i'm not interested, I already have a house". But Bob won't take no for answer, so he decides to burn my house down. He returns the next day and wants to know if I'm interested in paying him to build me a new house. Am I going to say "yes Bob, sure!" or am I going to find anyone BUT Bob to build me a new house? To bring this down to earth, some buddies of mine are building a business on the BCH chain. They have 2000 BCH. (This is a true story). If CoinGeek successfully 51% attacks BCH, makes the chain unusable, disrupts their business, and crashes the price, what do you think will be their reaction when they find out what's going on? Are they going to be happy with CoinGeek? Is there a snowball's chance in hell they're going to use Bitcoin BSV? Think this through carefully, people. EDIT: 8 comments so far , none actually addressing the point being made yet. @2ndentropy:
That's irrelevant. Miners who want to mine ABC can do that and users who want to use the chain can do. Same with SV. That's not what we're talking about here. @bchbadger Yes, they say they won't split, but a split is inevitable when you have 2 competing rule sets. This is basic. [link] [comments]
Pandacash v.0.3.0 has just been published for Bitcoin Cash! Posted: 03 Nov 2018 03:27 PM PDT A new version 0.3.0 of pandacash-cli has just been published. We have now pure javascript bitcoin cash node implementation of bcash client which brings us one step closer to one-click blockchain solution for bitcoin cash development! https://www.npmjs.com/package/pandacash-cli What's Panda? Panda Suite is a suite of tools to make BCH development more accessible to every developer. When developing applications for Bitcoin Cash, it is important that its functionality is well-tested, as the app can potentially be dealing with large amounts of money. For testing purposes, there is a public Bitcoin Cash testnet, but this testnet can not be used without an internet connection, and obtaining larger amounts of BCH can be cumbersome. Finally, in earlier stages of development, many developers would rather not be using a public network already, and would rather develop locally until development has furthered. This is where pandacash-cli comes in. pandacash-cli is a one-click Bitcoin Cash blockchain with pre-funded BCH addresses, enabling developers to quickly start working with BCH without any hassle. pandacash-cli is similar to ganache-cli, but for Bitcoin Cash.
