I'm making a 4X-ish strategy game on Ethereum, somewhat similar to the Civilization series

I believe that one way to make a successful gaming dapp on Ethereum to create an in-game economy between players, which allows players to earn ETH from buying and selling in-game assets/resources. There are several genres that generally develop in-game economies, some of which are RPGs, simulation games and strategy games. I've chosen to make a crypto game inspired by the popular Civilization series, with some changes to fit smart contracts ie not truly turn-based but rather time-based.

The slow pace of this kind of game is perfect for Ethereum, which requires players to wait after every turn before they see the effects of their actions; and makes block mining time a feature rather than a hindrance because you'll be much more thoughtful about which step you'll take next, be it acquiring territory, gathering particular resources, creating and moving troops, attacking enemies, etc. in a hegaxon-grid-based world.

Now I'm in beta stage and looking to see if there is interest in this kind of game on Ethereum. I've deployed the contracts on both the Ropsten and Mainnet blockchains. If you want to test the game completely free you can try the Ropsten version, whereas if you already want to earn ETH, you can try the mainnet version. Or both. I am thinking about adding more features like federations. Federations would allow players to team up diplomatically (much like guilds or alliances) for war or territory dominance purposes allowing better ether gains; and a deeper tech tree.

Biggest Blockchain Ticket Sale to date (50k tickets) completed on the Ethereum Mainnet by GET protocol

    Posted: 28 Sep 2018 06:47 AM PDT

Last weekend the biggest ticket sale ever on blockchain was performed on the Ehereum mainnet. In less than 4 hours all 50k tickets were sold for the shows of a comedian in the royal theater in Amsterdam. The changes of ownership can be tracked following this link:

    https://etherscan.io/address/0x6058233f589dbe86f38bc64e1a77cf16cf3c6c7e

Every tickets that was sold counted as a seperate transaction on the Ethereum mainnet and gas was paid.

The GET Protocol offers a blockchain-based smart ticketing solution that can be used by everybody who needs to issue admission tickets in an honest and transparent way.

More information can be found on the website https://get-protocol.io/

Austria to Use Ethereum Public Blockchain to Issue $1.35 Bln in Government Bonds

    Posted: 27 Sep 2018 07:53 PM PDT

Austria's government is set to use the Ethereum public blockchain to issue €1.15 billion of government bonds in an auction next week!! Gee whiz. Apparently, the security contributes to achieving a high level of confidence in the auction process for Austrian government bonds, while strengthening Austria's good standing in the market, which indirectly also has the capacity to contribute to favourable financing costs. :) I looooove how governments are becoming more and more accepting of the new technology!!

Reference as to what I'm talking about

Hey guys, question for bigger brains here. I'm fascinated by and an advocate for, Machine Learning on Private Data. Newer projects coming online, like Enigma (Privacy Preserving Smart Contracts) that can be used by Ethereum and, of course, Ethereum's own upgrades, show promise for this emerging technology.

Yes, I'm a fan of Enigma, but more so just wanting to know people's opinions of AI using blockchain and it's feasibility.

Has anyone participated in any bug bounties in crypto? If so, how was the process, payment, details, etc?

    Posted: 28 Sep 2018 02:48 AM PDT

There's been numerous bug bounties but I've never heard of anyone promoting that they have completed one.

Bancor just released their 500,000 BNT bounty. Is anyone jumping on this?

Where is the bounty community for developers?
