Another way to use your Reddit Karma Posted: 05 Sep 2018 08:24 AM PDT Hey guys! We thought it would be cool to have a Karma token economy, so we made a website (in early Beta) that rewards you for creating and upvoting/downvoting posts. Every day, new tokens are minted and distributed to everyone who contributes in a positive way by either posting or curating (voting on posts). Posts are curated by upvotes, which are based on the number of tokens you hold (more tokens = more influence). Try it out: https://dmunity.com We made it easy to get started, we'll convert your Reddit Karma to tokens directly (min 100 tokens). We're capping this airdrop to 1M tokens to avoid spam accounts. We're still in very early Beta (Proof of Concept). We put everything off-chain to make it accessible and usable today (no need to pay to get started). Our Main net release is planned for Q1 2019 and will be launched as a Plasma chain right from the start. Of course, all Beta tokens will be ported over to the Main net on release. Here's a more in-depth explanation of our vision and roadmap: https://medium.com/@dmunity/a-social-curation-market-ba20e75fe7a P.S. If you don't want to link your Reddit account, you can use code "BETA" to get started! Let us know what you think! Edit: Clarified that even 0 karma gives 100 tokens. [link] [comments]
Can't send any transactions, please help! Posted: 05 Sep 2018 03:15 PM PDT So I'm a bit of a goof, screwed up and sent two transactions for the near same amount, and didn't realize I didn't have enough ETH to pay for both transactions. I have attempted to cancel the transaction by using MyEtherWallet and using the same Nonce (270), by sending 0 ETH to the same contract, which promptly disappeared but still somehow shows up in my Metamask? Here is my Etherscan, and the specific transaction that is stuck due to insufficient funds. Any and all help is appreciated, I'm seriously at a lose and can't buy any more ETH for a hot minute [link] [comments]

2 ETH is dumb. There's plenty of ETH already in circulation. 1 ETH or lower. Posted: 05 Sep 2018 06:30 PM PDT Over 100 million coins and the price keeps plummeting. We need less inflation, not less of more inflation. Miners are unprofitable at this price point. I only pay $0.072 and I'm losing money at this price point. ~10 GH/s. I know everyone says this isn't the place for price discussion, but this is absolutely ridiculous. The platform is bleeding, and unless inflation is slashed drastically, ETH will have no value, and no one will use it because it will be worthless. EDIT: Just ran the math. Currently spending 115 dollars a day to make 110 dollars a day. What a joke. [link] [comments]

Couldn’t data be falsified when inputting into the blockchain in the first instance? Posted: 05 Sep 2018 12:55 AM PDT I posted this in r/blockchain but it's pretty dead so thought I'd post it here too: I've been into blockchain for a while, but one thing I've always questioned is; can't someone just input false data into a blockchain in the first instance? I.e, say for example we have a blockchain for house deeds, all of the house deeds will need to be inputted into the blockchain to begin with. Couldn't the person inputting the data falsify a house deed and put it on the blockchain, therefore tricking people into thinking it's legit? When in reality it doesn't even exist. Thanks in advance.
