Any exchanges that allow for OTO (one-triggers-other) orders? Posted: 12 Aug 2018 06:31 AM PDT I want to do a fairly simple move (breakout trading with stop loss and take profit - basically a lagged OCO order) but apparently it's not covered in most of exchanges (I regularly use Bitfinex). I wouldn't even mind if can just get a stop loss to register after the initial entry.. and i'll worry about taking profits later. I just want to cover my position. Just setting a price alarm is not feasible as breakouts happen way too fast, especially now, and i can't and don't want to carry my mobile with me 24/7 to be able to enter (and then place OCO) when alarm rings (i'd probably miss the move anyway). I have no idea to use APIs or to code but if it would be achievable to implement, i'd give it a try. [link] [comments] |
Risk management concepts / thoughts / resources Posted: 11 Aug 2018 01:08 PM PDT This might not be the right sub for this query, since it's not necessarily crypto (let alone Bitcoin) related, but I value the perspectives of you crazy kids quite a bit, so... I've been thinking a bunch about risk management in trading the last few days, and was wondering if anyone could recommend any high-quality / authoritative resources on the matter. I know some very basic abstract concepts, but I'm looking to get some more concrete, actionable knowledge. Of course there's no single way of doings things, but at the least there are strategies to NOT employ, heh, that might be obvious to experienced traders but not to fumbling noobs. I can (and will) Google of course, but my knowledge level is so rudimentary, I don't trust my ability to evaluate the wisdom of what I find. Websites, books, or even if anyone wants to share thoughts, that would be most welcome. Thank you in advance, marketeers! [link] [comments] |
Magic The Gathering Online Exchange coin distribution plans? Posted: 11 Aug 2018 02:53 PM PDT Will the 140,000 coins from mtgox distributed to everyone at the same time and all at once? The market can't absorb 140k coins, right? Literally everyone will dump their coins in expectations of a market obliterating cash out event and then creditors will actually dump as fast as they can. And please don't come at me with creditors will hodl. A few might but any sane person will dump instantly to at least buy in lower after the 130k+ coins got sold. Imho there is no way for the bull to come back until after this event. Why would you buy now if you can buy in a year during an flash crash of epic proportions? We'll get goxed again in 2019.
