Is there a quick and secure encryption method by hand Posted: 04 Aug 2018 04:51 PM PDT I was checking out the cryptonomicon book and the solitaire cipher got me wondering if there is a easy/quick cipher that doesnt require a computer but is secure at the same time. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Aug 2018 11:16 PM PDT So I see everywhere that this curve is faster at signing by about 30% than other curves. I wanted to see this for myself so I wrote a benchmark script and tested out other commandline benchmarks as well. What I've found is that it's slower, in all tests, by a substantial margin when compared to other curves. Is there proof online somewhere that this curve is faster? Is openssl optimized properly for this curve? I did all my testing with that suite. I keep hearing the 30% statement but I have seen no proof of this. I want to believe it but until I can see for myself I am skeptical that this is more buzzword tech bro bullshit. [link] [comments] |
