Bitmain owns more BCH than Satoshi Nakamoto!

The results of the stress test will be huge. Please get involved

    Posted: 14 Aug 2018 12:59 AM PDT

We are at a point where general sentiment in the cryptosphere is at an all time low. BTCore is being propped up by tether but otherwise has been steadilty dropping in value and use. Alt coins have been suffering too.

On the other side, BCH sentiment is great. Folks here are optimistic, devs are active, updates are frequent and significant and arguable most importantly adoption is increasing at a high rate with new merchants, use cases and applications posted on a regular basis. For me however, the best thing about BCH is how darn usable it is as a currency. Even without 0-confirmations, BCH is so fast, so cheap and so secure and is just a pleasure to use.

This leads me to the point of this post: I think that the upcoming stress test could not come at a better time. People over at r/bitcoin are waking up to the lies and propaganda that is spread around in that subreddit and are coming here. Whether it's fame or infamy, BCH is being talked about by BTCore supporters more often. If you go to the r/bitcoin sub its full of posts slamming BCH. If you go to any post and read through the comments, BCH is mentioned frequently. Here in our own sub as well as other media forums, BCH is being artificially brigaded at levels that I have not seen before. And any publicity is good publicity for us right before a pivotal stress test.

We have the opportunity to show the cryptospace and the world that there is a crypto-currency that exists right now that can compete with Paypal and Credit Cards as a global payment processor. We have the ability to show them that the implementation of bigger blocks is the solution to the scaling problem and we can prove that potentially millions of transactions can be processed daily and this will not result in unreasonable fees and delays in the processing of transactions.

If you can afford it then please support the upcoming stress test by running a script or donating to someone who is capable of running a script themselves (obviously someone you trust). For just a few US dollars you can send out hundreds if not a couple thousand transactions.

For those of us that want to run our own scripts, I will try and write up a beginners guide at some point.

    John Oliver on Astroturfing

I am glad he is shedding light on this. I wish he would have hit on some of the social media platforms and how they are huge outlets for Astroturfing. I feel bad for those who are victims of this crowd manipulation that believe all the fake shit opinions that are being ejaculated all over them. Fake crowds, fake protests, fake people, fake posts, fake facts. Nothing is real anymore for the average bipeds.

There are 3 ways miners will continue to spend amounts of energy to secure the network: a) users are willing to pay continuously increasing fees (fee market - Bitcoin Core), or b) creating new coins for miners (Inflation), or c) more transactions per block (big fucking blocks - Bitcoin Cash).

Despite declining prices across the board, is anyone else feeling extremely bullish amidst the increased Bcore trolls and anti Bitmain IPO propaganda going around?

    Posted: 13 Aug 2018 11:36 AM PDT

Seems like major things are about to happen in the land of Bitcoin Cash this Fall. Getting more and more bullish the more trolls raid this sub and the more the idiotic Bcore head figures rant about Bitmain. Don't know about you guys but I'm going to be adding plenty of heavily undervalued BCH to my stack this month, and also going to look to get into the Bitmain IPO too. Bitcoin Cash is coming and you best be prepared.

Everyone supported a block size increase, even the Core devs!

    Posted: 13 Aug 2018 02:12 PM PDT

Funny how money changes things. Core Devs actually wanted big blocks:

Adam Back (2015) (before he was Blockstream CEO): "My suggestion 2MB now, then 4MB in 2 years and 8MB in 4years then re-asses."

Pieter Wuille (2013) (before he was Blockstream co-founder): "I'm in favor of increasing the block size limit in a hard fork, but very much against removing the limit entirely... My suggestion would be a one-time increase to perhaps 10 MiB or 100 MiB blocks (to be debated), and after that an at-most slow exponential further growth."

Theymos (2010) (before turning /r/Bitcoin into a censored cesspool): "In the future most people will run Bitcoin in a "simple" mode that doesn't require downloading full blocks or transactions. At that point MAX_BLOCK_SIZE can be increased a lot."

    Creadits to /u/freefactoid, here.

UPDATE: Seems he already posted it himself.

Questions regarding starting a business accepting BCH exclusively

    Posted: 13 Aug 2018 12:24 PM PDT

Hey Everyone, long-time lurker and huge BCH fan here. I've been around in the crypto space since 2012, and have had an incredible time since then. When things started to turn in 2015, I felt hugely disappointed by BTC, the other sub, the previously lively BitcoinTalk, and the like.

BCH is what Bitcoin was always meant to be, so when the community started to pick up again, I felt the same sense of excitement from back in the day. I think a lot of us remember what it was like to be in the middle of such an enormous amount of change, equal parts exciting and awesome.

Now that the community is back and thriving, 2 months ago I decided to write an app to try to give back. I don't expect to really make anything off of it, but I consider it something to add to the pile of already great apps out there. When it's actually out there, I'll make PRs to devs.cash and acceptbitcoin.cash (and make an announcement of course), but until then, I need some help!

The code itself is 100% ready to deploy (v1.0 achieved!), but I'm completely stuck on the business/legal side of things. The app:

    • Is based out of the US
    • Accepts BCH in exchange for API credits on my service (automated)
    • Does not require any information at all (names, emails, etc.)
    • Assigns each individual user a unique wallet (processed funds, IE funds that have been converted to API credits, are moved to cold storage daily)

    My questions:

    • What do I need to require in terms of accepting payment? Do I need to form an LLC and simply track payments in a unique cold storage wallet (for tax purposes)?
    • Am I obligated to provide some privacy policy, even though I'm not accepting any info from clients?

I suppose it's simply a question of accepting crypto as payment in return for a service in the US. It's been difficult to find any real answers. Would I be better off accepting BCH via another platform (and letting them do the processing, tax documentation, etc.) instead of doing it directly?

Thanks in advance, keep on keeping on!

The underlying protocols like Bitcoin and Ethereum are yet to be scalable so there is no question of mass adoption in the near future.

That's the reason this VC guy gives for the market collapse. but....there is an answer . BCH !

Sooner or later these guys will have to address the elephant in the room
