    My Bitcoin Story

    Posted: 01 Aug 2018 07:01 PM PDT

So I just wanted to tell you guys a little bit about my intro in cryptocurrency. I got interested in the way high of December 2017, like most fiat normies. So I bought into an initial high of $16,000, using up all my savings for about 0.55 btc. You can imagine my initial disappointment in the following months. I got into crypto so late because I had not heard of it due to me always studying and not doing much else. But I started reading and researching about it, why we need it, and about blockchain in general; I even taught myself some technical analysis. I am fully commited to the project now and I am working full time now and investing all I can for more bitcoin. I will one day have a full bitcoin, this project is the next great technological and financial step, dont give up guys. We have the chance of being a part of something great. Remember everyone, HODL!

    0.1 Bitcoin!

I've been buying and spending and then buying back more bitcoin for a year. My aim was to get to 0.1 and hodl it forever. It might not seem like much to some but it's a good amount to me :)

I think this perfectly applies to Bitcoin. You can't have any if you don't inject value.

Just made my first Lightning purchase in the wild! ⚡️

I've had a node running for some months and I'm working on an iOS app controlling it over RPC. I recently found out that a restaurant in my city (Kasbah in Oslo) was accepting lightning payments - so of course I had to go test it.

I opened a channel directly to the restaurant to prevent any routing errors. For a smaller amount I would probably be able to use one of my existing channels, but they are not very well funded.

The girl serving didn't miss a beat when I asked to pay with lightning and the transaction went through in less than a second.

    Instant payment! ⚡️

    Taste of success! 🍍

iOS savvy and wanna check out the app? (It's pretty rough though) github
