Setting Sail: Quarter 2 XRP Markets Report and Bitrue Posted: 29 Jul 2018 04:10 AM PDT https://xrpcommunity.blog/setting-sail-quarter-2-xrp-markets-report-and-bitrue/ Set sail with XRP in my latest blog! I cover the big news - and there is a lot of it: the Q2 XRP Markets Report, Bitrue, Wirex, Uphold, Blocktrade and SBI Virtual Currencies start things off. Note that the Q&A with Bitrue is an exclusive just for the XRP Community. Of course, I also include the latest developments by XRP Community developers; this includes updates about two wallets that you may not know about. I hope you enjoy today's lengthier update! Please leave any feedback below. Sincerely, -Hodor [link] [comments]
XRP's deflationary aspect is negligible - Ripple Chief Risk Officer Greg Kidd Posted: 29 Jul 2018 04:47 PM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcFzZ1QsdPU&feature=youtu.be&t=1808 In this video, you can hear Greg Kidd, Ripple's Chief Risk Officer, say in front of the Standing Committee for Banking, Trade and Commerce (members from the Canadian parliament) that the XRP transaction fee "would not have an impact on the XRP balance for several thousand years". So, this information should be of interest to all the people who think that XRP is going to gain any value because of the small amount of XRP that is destroyed with every transaction. "Several thousand years" is certainly exaggerated, especially if the amount of transactions on the XRP ledger increases exponentially over the years. But through this statement, we can learn more about Ripple's long term strategy. XRP is not going to become a deflationary asset any time soon. In fact, XRP is probably going to remain an inflationary asset for many years to come, which is also a good thing, as Galgitron has pointed out in one of this blogs: http://galgitron.net/Post/Why-Ripple-needs-so-much-XRP The rest of the hearing was also interesting and definitely worth listening to. The Canadian senators appeared to have a very positive view of Ripple. [link] [comments]

BTC transfer so slow they should think of using xrp for the transfer :-) Posted: 29 Jul 2018 11:06 AM PDT I'm transferring some bitcoin to another exchange and 35 minutes after it's seen on blockchain there is still only 1 confirmation. I'm thinking that maybe bitcoin should use XRP to do the transferring of bitcoin. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:03 PM PDT Just came here to say that I've tried my hand a few times day trading, and riding a huge bump in another coin. Always with the intention of acquiring more XRP. Between the stress of constantly watching markets and new information (90% of which is speculative garbage) it is just not worth the hassle, and most times I'd just end up losing 20, 50, 100xrp in the trade!! If any one else is attempting this, my advice is just to hold (I refuse to use that stupid acronym). I believe XRP will win the race to the top to I'm going to simply set it and forget it. Easiest Way to Buy XRP right now? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:18 PM PDT I've been sitting on my stack for a while, 10+ months. I like the price point and the news coming out. It's been long since I've bought any, what is the best way to do it at this time? [link] [comments]
How does Codius add value to XRP? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 03:13 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm excited about Codius, it looks great. From what I've read you need XRP to have a Codius host and contracts are settled in XRP but can anyone elaborate on how Codius will add value to XRP? Thanks [link] [comments]
