Let's join forces to create a localbitcoins version for BCH

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 10:07 PM PDT

I am already making progress in several ways:

    1. Contacting localbitcoincash.org team to see if I could help with something.
    2. Doing market research of pre built BTC solutions that could be adapted to BCH
    3. Writing application from scratch

I have done little thinking in how we are going to market this but here are some ideas:

    1. Referral system
    2. Free fees for the first months
    3. Selling tokens for profit sharing
    4. Contacting influencers
    5. Bring liquidity by contacting users from localbitcoins.com

Or, if there is a team already working on this I would like to join.

Can we take a moment to thank Roger gracefully? You like it or not, If it wasn’t for him, we probably wouldn’t have a voice.

I remember in 2013 when I used to hang out at /r/bitcoin, then the whole blocksize debate started and we were constantly getting silenced and censored by the mods. I'm so thankful I found this community right after.

Funny thing is that we were the majority until they started silencing us :-/

Anyways, Thanks to Roger we still have /r/btc and even Bitcoin.com which remain uncensored, open and free to all bitcoin related discussions!! I'm quite positive a lot of what was accomplished was in part thanks to that.

Bitcoin Cash is proud to be the currency of second class citizens.

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 06:00 PM PDT

Since Bitcoin is intended to be expensive to use and therefore only for the wealthy, it shows their intention to keep class division alive. Quite a foolish notion. The upper class traditionally uses violent force to maintain their position anyway so they have no use for "digital gold." Do they think countries will disarm their nuclear arsenals? Wealth is aggregated to be used. What exactly do they hope to use digital gold for when actual gold isn't even used anymore as a primary store of wealth?

Did you know: in /r/removalbot you can sidebar filter for the Bitcoin subreddit to see posts and comments removed there?

Occasionally there are interesting posts that show up which have not been allowed to remain in /r/Bitcoin .

What are the safeguards against fraud with 0-conf transactions?

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 10:52 PM PDT

With 0-confirmation transactions becoming more and more a point of differentiation between BTC and BCH I'm wondering specifically, in detail, what protections there are to protect the merchant from being defrauded by a double-spend.

I'm aware that double-spends are easy to detect and that a typical transaction will propagate through the network in a few seconds meaning that a subsequent transactions using the same inputs should be rejected (as long as the initial transaction has sufficient miner fee to be accepted by mining pools), but beyond that

    • Are there any BCH clients that will replace a transaction if the double-spending transaction has a higher miner fee, or can be configured as such? Are any mining pools running this software?

    • How long do processors that accept 0-conf transactions tend to wait before deeming a transaction "safe enough"?

    • Are there any additional safeguards that I haven't mentioned? Do any of the major mining pools allow their mempool to be searched for a particular transaction, thus allowing an extra degree of assurance to the processor / merchant?

    Thanks.

    Bitcoin situation sum-up

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 08:50 AM PDT

    • To not lift the BTC block size limit is a horrible idea.
    • The only given reason is to prevent full-node centralization, which is total bullshit.
    • The only way it was allowed to happen was through massive censorship and propaganda.
    • The only argument against BCH is "Roger used to sell firecrackers".
    • If you support the Bitcoin idea but hate BCH, you've been played.

CoinEx is shining like a new Star in this space!!

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 12:52 AM PDT

This is not just a simple pump, CoinEx has a great roadmap, A great team and a huge support from various whale institutions (BCF, BitMain, ViaBTC etc ). Let's see how this goes.

It has already crossed $1,452,293,816 in trading volume and its still increasing due to trade driven mining. the value of their platfrom is $0.0717 which is expected to grow continuously as they will purchase and burn these tokens constantly.

PSA: Beware of users like u/eustan who pretend to support BCH or cryptos

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 02:11 AM PDT

I have noticed this user's strange shitposts and I recalled his username somewhere so I checked his history and that confirmed my doubt about him.

He is one of UASF shills ( only post to push the campaign without intention of discussion ). He is suddenly very active in this sub. He always post to tell people off about censorship as "whining".

His post history also show he probably sold all his coins and pushing narative of cryptos are worthless. He isn't supporting BCH by any stretch, people like him are exactly why BTC is too far gone.
