Throwback Thursday: I actually paid $16.88 in network fees to send $71-worth of BTC. When we say the fees were high (and still are), we aren't exaggerating.

I think ShapeShift should implement more sets of data and add Bitcoin Cash and not refer to it as Altcoin any more (as it is not an Altcoin)

    Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:25 PM PDT

    Currently ShapeShift has:

    • BTC >Altcoins
    • Altcoins > BTC
    • Altcoins > Altcoins

stats and pie chart graph to show percentages of crypto being changed at ShapeShift exchange... but as Bitcoin Cash has all the original working principles as Bitcoin (not the current crippled BTC blockchain but the Bitcoin system) as well as full blockchain history up to the original Bitcoin block, it should not be regarded as an Altcoin.

And to be fair and have fair playing field, I think this website should have stats for following:

    • BTC >Altcoins
    • BCH > Altcoins
    • BTC > BCH
    • BCH > BTC
    • Altcoins > BTC
    • Altcoins > BCH
    • Altcoins > Altcoins

I, and many others believe that only 1 blockchain will succeed long term, and both BTC & BCH (technically only) can be called Bitcoin (systems) so it would be just/fair and quite frankly needed... to make this change so that people are aware that there are 2 Bitcoin's so to speak, and not just 1, especially knowing that BTC is limited in capacity and its coders want to use completely different system to scale for mass adoption (Lightning) while BCH will scale fully on Bitcoin system.

Leaving BCH in Altcoin "group" is not correct, and in a way, makes ShapeShift owner(s) looking like they are putting out a political message (against Bitcoin Cash)... so please change this.

Just traded half of my BTC into BCH

    Posted: 04 Jul 2018 07:59 AM PDT

After reading and researching both sides of the debate ive finally taken the plunge and decided that BCH is probably right and will win out in the end. I just feel like i was duped for so long by people in r/cryptocurrency and r/bitcoin into hating BCH and especially Roger Ver.

Its great to be part of both communities now and be invested in both coins so that i can finally take an unbiased position into the issues between the two sides.

Accepting Tips and/or any artwork/accessories to help rebrand Betty's place in Kenya

Beatrice the owner of Betty's place can only receive a minimum of $1 worth of Bitcoin Core's payments for bills.

We need artwork to rebrand her restaurant and if possible a Bitcoin Cash point-of-sale terminal to have her accepting payments instantly with zero-conf.

Read more about Betty's Place here and here.

I prefer chaintip to tippr for this reason. I constantly have to check how much funds i have, and often when i want to tip I dont have enough and have to refill. Just let me send tips and buy articles through my phone wallet!

Betty's Place in Kenya accepts Bitcoin, But there's just one problem!

Against mounting pressure to ban the use of cryptocurrency in Kenya, small businesses are going against the odds and incorporating Bitcoin payments.

Betty's place is one example of such a business but there's one problem... they can only receive a minimum of Shs 100 ($1) for their bills due to the restrictive charges on Bitcoin Core's network and perhaps they should try Bitcoin Cash out and accept payments for much less and at lower transaction fee.
