Its finally July and here's why I'm so excited with XRP for this exact month

    Posted: 30 Jun 2018 12:57 PM PDT

    1. In general of crypto sphere, this month Line launch their own exchange, Bitbox, yea its just another exchange like we never get enough with exchanges. Its including XRP but it dont have fiat-crypto, still fine because Line actually has large number of younger ages of users on the east part of the world. This will expose crypto market to mainstream faster. I'm from Indonesia and Line is a basic default messaging chat here, only beaten by whatsapp, a lot of people here from the age 12-28 yo do use Line, or at least has Line on their phone. If anything can bring crypto into mainstream it must be from actual product people already use, like Line per se. In this point I will add Facebook, they lift their ban for crypto related sponsors in July. More exposure to crypto market!
    2. SEC signaling BTC ETF to be cleared very soon and state they will ease the process. I mean we are still tied with BTC. Any good news for BTC is actually good for XRP, for fair perspective.
    3. SBI fucking Group. When it comes to technology, Japan has always been a leader. The world will follow what they have in hands. The world will learn and adopt the tech Japan use. Because its proven they're very good at it. And in crypto Japan is actually a pioneer for it. The first domino will be falling at this very month. With SBI CEO talking about XRP gonna be the standard for border payment tech leaving SWIFT in dust.
    4. India will release their regulation draft this month so they can give crypto market a clear position. India population is equivalent to 17.74\% of the total world population. Whatever happens there, it matters.

    Edit, update (thanks /u/toieo83) :

    1. "Next week in Dubai, members of the network will meet to forge new connections and discuss how they use Ripple technology — sharing lessons learned and best practices."

What is XRP missing for Mass Adoption?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2018 03:06 PM PDT

Saw a post in /r/CryptoCurrency asking about what Crypto is missing for mass adoption. Initially my thought is to say XRP is the coin going to win the race to mass adoption, but to what extent is that result going to be feasible? So i thought, how?

IMO in order to achieve wide-spread adoption your going to need to build trust with the people your goal is to revolutionize first. How do you do that? By getting regulated, by having a face of the company (team or CEO) and by having big, recognizable players enter the game. This regulation thing is bigger than I realized, as I discovered from conversation with normies, without approval from SEC touching the word crypto with a 10 ft stick is unsafe. They are not aware that regulators may be behind the times, unaware of new technological advances that could mean revolutionary change. They don't care how life changing it may be unless they can get behind something they can trust.

Upon receiving regulation for XRP the list of things to come is exciting.
XRP is fast, close to frictionless tx cost, and exciting to use as payments can be received almost instantly.
Ripple has Brad Garlinghouse, friendly face of the company who strives to make all Ripple products reach their potential if not surpass it, and most especially, the XRP ecosystem.
XRP has SBI hard launch occurring in July opening up XRP to millions more of investors.
Ripple has an unimaginable number of banks signed on testing, using, and ADOPTING their products leading down a path in which XRP becomes the backbone of transactions worldwide. Have you looked this number up before? INSANE.

Screw Western Union. They approached the Ripple tests with a flippant attitude aware that Banks and XRP means the end of Remittance Competition a.k.a. them. Especially if they refuse to adapt.
Rather than shoving crypto and the idea of a global fiscal takeover down normal people's throats, Ripple has been slowly turning the Banking Industry into crypto enthusiasts by aiding them with their understanding of Distributed ledger tech and XRP. By spending the time and effort to ease XCurrent into use, Ripple has already set up the railroads for them to then ease said banks to use XRapid.

What else is needed to give XRP and Ripple that final boost to global transfer domination?

SEC documents detail scores of fraud allegations against Coinbase

    Posted: 30 Jun 2018 09:22 PM PDT

There seem to be a lot of complains about coinbase that were escalated to higher government agencies like the SEC, accusing CB of purposely holding on to funds or delaying transfers so they can profit from it. I dont know whether or not CB is maliciously holding on to funds, but i do know that they along with other exchanges have been having a lot of trouble dealing with new volume and their systems crashing down because they couldn't handle all the volume/transactions. So imagine CB struggling already with 4 crypto currencies and now having to add a powerhouse like XRP, they wouldn;t be able to deal with the volume and open themselves up for more complains or cases. I know their are other exchanges that offer more than 4cryptocurrencies but they dont have nearly the amount of users that CB has. Correct me if im wrong but even binance has around 7-10million users but CB has anywhere from 15-20milion. So the slow approach that CB is taking may partially be that they NEED to beef up staff (more than they have done recently) and softwares to accommodate the new influx of money/transactions.

I was just looking through the SBI presentation and spotted a hidden gem.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2018 12:14 AM PDT

The presentation details SBI's partnership with Ripple and use of XRP for remittance etc, but it also lays out their partnership with R3. (The developers behind the Corda blockchain that SBI plans to use for their smart contracts.)

Aside from all the beautiful data and roadmap I noticed something on page 149. In the footnote SBI is suggesting that R3 partner with Ripple.

This is huge because SBI handles so many industries besides finance; Real estate, insurance, medical, even retail. If Ripple partners with R3 as well as SBI, there is a very high chance that R3 will use XRP too.

I wish Codius was further along so SBI didn't have to use R3, but what do you guys think? Let's discuss in the comments below.

Would Securitization be Good for XRP?

    Posted: 29 Jun 2018 11:12 PM PDT

I don't understand why the general thought is that the SEC ruling XRP to be a security would be a bid thing.

What could be the benefits if it would happen?

Would it not allow big FIs to use XRP in line with regulations?

Ripple always emphsizes that XRP is a "digital ASSET"...

E.g. Wikipedia mentions that bank notes are a security to...

    qoute:

In the United States, a security is a tradable financial asset of any kind.[2] Securities are broadly categorized into:

debt securities (e.g., banknotes, bonds and debentures) equity securities (e.g., common stocks) derivatives (e.g., forwards, futures, options, and swaps).
