Background in computer science, looking to get into cryptography Posted: 07 Jun 2018 05:03 PM PDT Hi all. I have a degree in computer science, but never had the opportunity to take a class covering cryptography. In addition, since my degree, I've been working in a totally different field for the past 10 years, so much of what I've learned regarding algorithms and the like has sadly left my brain. Having said all this, can anyone recommend a book to get into cryptography? I'm interested in learning both the mathematical foundations behind it as well as seeing examples of code and ciphers, and perhaps a bit of the history as well. I understand this might not all be found in one book (although that'd be ideal), so please post any that you feel may be fitting. Thank you for your help. [link] [comments] |
