Do people really observe and not buy anything at all? Some observations from an old dogecoin miner.

    Posted: 29 Jun 2018 10:49 PM PDT

I've seen posts deep in discussions saying they don't invest at all because [x,y,z] and claim they have no cryptocurrency investments period, but I just don't believe it. Who would put themselves through such an arduous community of information and bullshit without getting some reward or having a motive. Its one thing to observe the community, then its another to talk about how you observe it from the outside like a vegetarian vulture curious to try some meat. Usually someone declaring they own no coins just sets off my bullshit detector. I honestly never been interested in a coin I didn't invest in and I certainly never announced anything I planned on doing. Watch who you get your information from. This is a highly speculative market. Gonna rant about some things I've learned over the years.

    • Never click any links provided on an open forum. That's just dumb. Look it up for yourself, learn to recognize security features. Google isn't guaranteed safe either.
    • Any coin that seems to have a surge of activity all of a sudden, either was the first to provide the most perfect coin ever, or is a marketing effort. Many of these can be low effort spams for pump and dumps. Often you will see these "marketing blasts" coinciding with a bump in price. If you really wanna put money behind it, install the software (not on the same pc or network as your wallets) and try it. If you can't understand it, maybe you shouldn't buy it. Don't pay for something you can't imagine being used. Then try to prove its actually worth something.
    • Stick to things you understand. Don't give money to fancy graphics and impressive blockchain numbers. Again dyor, miners have big incentives to drive their coins to be traded more.
    • PoW might not be perfect, but it is the technology that driven this space. By having more computing power than the potential attackers, while keeping consensus on a ledger, has proven to be amazing technology. All cryptocurrencies owe the concept of security to PoW. Just be careful of miners telling you a coin is solid because of it.
    • All coins are interchangeable at the current rate minus possible fees. I think this point is often ignored. A shitcoin growing in value definitely is being traded for your golden goose. Get used to it. Maybe exchanges will somehow workout the damage things like bitgrail or bithumb and tether "hacks" have on the market, but look to who allowed those trades to go through. Even if they pay it hurts sentiment.
    • Unless someone proves something, they are telling it to you because its bullshit they don't think you can debunk. No one is wasting effort here just to give you free money.
    • Never respond to "prove me wrong". You are wasting your time.
    • Often people say "stop worrying about the price". This is not a fair thing to say since we are trying to make alternative forms of currency work and that requires an exchange rate. Of course the price matters, but it is not polite to talk about it. While we are trying to make a new form of currency become adapted we are working to prove that it improves on cash, credit cards and phone payments. The technology allows these exchanges to be accepted but something has to differentiate shitcoin A from forkcoin B while still having incentives. Otherwise what matters about which you spent, gotta make it better than asking your bank if you can buy a drink in another county without worrying about being locked out and having to carry cash.
    • Shits more emotional than a 17000 Sat hooker, and way more speculative.
    • Lastly no one understands the market. Just let it happen. Don't lose sleep over buying something at $1 vs $2, in the grand scheme of things no one would call you an idiot for buying bitcoin or ether at $10 instead of $1.

Proof Sparkster ICO is fraudulent - latest Ian Balina shilled ICO

    Posted: 30 Jun 2018 12:34 AM PDT

I have been closly following latest ICO from Ian Balina, Sparkster, who he rated 90% in his sheet but this ICO seems to be some kind of a scam. Most people in community think it is shady but possible good for quick flip but this latest info I got puts a new light to it. They been showcasing their platform here with their tool for generating code for blockchain https://sparkster.me/try/?#Try you can look at the videos

But it is nothing then this tool here (again check the videos) http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/made-with-code.html that they used/copied and applied to cryptocurrencies.

But not only that, when you try to ask them about it, post a link in their telegram of reddit they will censor it instantly and some members even got banned for asking them about it. This is clearly a big red flag!

Since this post will get delete in their subreddit, please upvote it and comment here so we can bring light to this and let other users know before they invest in this ICO.
