ELI5: How can Bitcoin Cash be centralized for having a (facetious) CEO, but the scaling solution for BTC, Lightning Network, is still decentralized despite having a LITERAL CEO?

Core supporters will even attack feeding hungry children in South Sudan, as long as it gives them a good excuse to attack BCH in the process.

Showerthought: If BTC and BCH names were both anonymous and you had to choose one based on description/utility only a lunatic would choose BTC

    A tip for core supporters

    Posted: 02 Jun 2018 01:39 AM PDT

When @Bitcoin or Brian Armstrong tweet in support of something like EatBCH, the correct response (assuming you can't let any BCH-positive thing go unchallenged) is to build something on BTC that's equally positive. Anything else makes you look mean, petty and, frankly, like you've got no game.

    Just some free advice.

Developers want to develop. Users want to use. Bitcoin Core prevents both of these things from happening, so what is their value proposition?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2018 11:01 AM PDT

Spoiler alert: Core has no value proposition.

If Core thinks 1,000,000,000 users in the world should run a full node taking up 150,000MB on a desktop with broadband access instead of using simple tiny thin clients connected to 10,000 specialized service nodes they should seriously reconsider the viability of their model.

There's no need for me to run a full node running on a dedicated pc back home 24/7 to buy a $2 cup of coffee.

"Status quo relies on controlling scarcity." – Rick Falkvinge

Rick's best. This one applies on so many levels. This control is evident in censorship, blockchain transaction capacity and copyright for starters. Dependency is key.
