BTC I'm travelling abroad and my bank won't allow me to withdrawal local currency. Yesterday I went to a bar that has a Bitcoin Cash (as well as any crypto in Shapeshift) ATM and I was finally able to get some Argentinian pesos. Later figured that the owner and his friend built the machine themselves!

The West is trapped in a vicious cycle of money writing the law and the law protecting money. Bitcoin is the best possible non violent way that I know that can disrupt that. Call if the revenge of the Nerds. The Internet Strikes Back. Whatever. But let's give it our best shot and see what happens.

Don't watch your friends being invested in obvious shitcoins - tell them about BCH instead.

    Posted: 25 Jun 2018 09:59 PM PDT

Great things to point out concerning BCH:

    • micro payments possible (will affect Africa)
    • Tokenization of BCH incoming (BCH will be platform like Ethereum)
    • 0-config transactions (insane for merchant adoption)
    • "digital gold" and "store of value" deception of BTC is wrong and BCH is the real bitcoin

Spread the word. If you can bring truth to 1 person, it already paid off.

If we are not active, BTC core propaganda will win.

BITCOIN was created to be P2P cash, to eliminate the need for transaction routing. LIGHTNING was created to reintroduce transaction routing on top of Bitcoin.

To support Lightning is literally to undermine the goals of P2P cash. I can't make it more clear than this. Let all who have ears, hear.

Recently my Ledger Nano S had a required firmware upgrade and it would not take my pin - after 3 tries it reset itself. I was kind of scared, but I knew I had tested my backup at least a dozen times before, so no big deal.

    Wow I'm so angry!

    Posted: 25 Jun 2018 05:46 PM PDT

So I was recently at a Bitcoin Meetup in Austin, TX with a Software/Engineer giving a talk about being a Bitcoin Maximalis.

I followed his arguments along with regards to Bitcoin's scarcity properties, and Lightning Network and payment channels. And how it's supposed to be digital gold.

    And I got really angry!

During the Q&A session: I just kept thinking that I wanted to put my hand up and say something like:

'Well despite disparaging Bitcoin Cash as Bcash, if it's (BTC) supposed to be money for the 21st century then how come I can't even use it without paying huge fees? It seems to me like it's money designed for the plutocracy i.e. those who can afford fees, payment channels and the like; where is the innovation in that? I thought we already had that system in place with our current banking system.'

Instead of raising my hand though I just left the building, as you can't fight fire with fire. I went home and bought more Bitcoin Cash; and hell yeah I 'm gonna keep sending $1 worth of BCH out to everyone I meet who shows even a slight modicum of interest using Cointext, an app that could have only been built on BCH, not BTC, which is too expensive to use!! I'm gonna write more coin analyses on Yours.org which was built with BCH because it's easy and fun to use.

I'm kind of sad that such smart software engineers could be so adamant about the vaporware Lightning Network, and Segwit (which actually lowers security and opens the door to mining cartels).

Anyway thanks for listening to my rant.. I know in the end the truth will win; hopefully it will be BCH and uncensorable cash for everybody. Or else what's the point!

We are offering a 1 BCH Bounty for a Bitbox app

    Posted: 25 Jun 2018 08:55 PM PDT

    Hi Guys,

The team at Bitcoin Cash Stress Test are working hard to bring you a really easy way to participate in the upcoming network stress test (scheduled for September 1) and would like to announce that we have had a very generous offer of 1BCH for a bounty to create a Bitbox app that can create 1000 BCH transactions for 0.003 BCH or less.

The condition is that this needs to be a web app that runs on all devices and which gives people participating in the test an easy way to load small amounts of BCH for dispatch onto the network.

If you have any questions, either reply to this thread or jump onto memo.cash and join the stresstestbitcoin.cash group. You can also visit stresstestbitcoin.cash for more information!

The reason we see multiple angry trolling posts attacking Bitcoin aggresively in every thread "bcash is a chinese scam marketed by a felon"

    Posted: 25 Jun 2018 05:47 PM PDT

As many suspect but haven't fully digested yet, there is a massive scale dissinformation campaign pushed by big powers and spread through communication media control - like we've seen recently happen with twitter.

It is not a conspiracy theory. If you care enough to not accept having an opinion because of not having done your own research, you will do your due diligence. This is happening in almost every thread, and is an effort to stop decentralized peer to peer currency from booming, and the biggest threat currently is Bitcoin, as it was since the moment it was born.

The propaganda is solely designed to scare off any person that might start questioning the main voice and visiting r/btc for first time. The propaganda is designed so that he reads more "Bitcoin Cash is a centralized scam" nonsense and he closes the subreddit as soon as possible.

We have to keep spreading the word and contributing to adoption. Each of us can make an impact by making people believe a better future is possible with decentralized, peer to peer money.

Your non-mining node doesn't help keep miners honest(at all!). The fear of getting orphaned and losing money is what keeps them honest.

    Posted: 25 Jun 2018 07:04 AM PDT

If you're a Bitcoin miner you're on the razors edge of profitability. You need to get every block reward you can to keep your operation in the black. How freaking stupid would you be to try to mine a double spend? The other miners would be laughing all the way to the bank! Sorry sucker! Have fun on your worthless orphan chain!

This only becomes a danger if a single miner has more than 51% of the hash power AND is keen to "greek lightning" their entire mining operation. Not likely!!

It's unbelievable to me that people still can't wrap their heads around this. Can somebody help me find where the "non-mining full nodes are necessary for validating your transactions and keeping miners honest" disinfo garbage originated from?
