We need to stop talking about price and start talking about adoption.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:34 AM PDT

This community really needs to get its stuff together. Every day I see people losing it over the price of bitcoin going down. The price of bitcoin is tied to how many people are using it and how useful it is. The fact of the matter is that if adoption is not going up price will not either

One Thing that Excites Me about the Future of Bitcoin Mining

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:50 PM PDT

As we know, the amount of power required to mine Bitcoin is high. Mining companies are looking for the optimum places to mine Bitcoin, where electricity is cheap. I believe they will have to come up with innovative ways to cut costs and the most innovate way would be to invest in the use solar, wind, hydro, etc. to cut electrical usage costs in the long run. This could completely change our energy sector! Imagine deserts filled with solar panels with huge mining facilities, windy prairie lands with wind farms, riverside mining with hydro, the list goes on.

People don't seem to be motivated to change our energy solutions because of environmental impact. But once it becomes an economical decision, it's a free for all. I can't wait to see what becomes of this new industrial revolution we call Bitcoin.

2x As many bisq offers in Europe than USA.

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 03:51 PM PDT

Kinda strange why twice as many Euro traders than USA, but maybe it has something to do with funding options?

Anyway, you can earn using bisq simply make offers (add liquidity).

Buy making offers to buy and sell you can make a few % both ways.
At least until the volume picks up but that's the point isn't it?

    Just a thought.

Also why don't some UI designers work to SKIN IT or theme it. I'd like bigger fonts and darker theme. Just sayn.

Say goodbye to your privacy in Australia

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 04:10 PM PDT

"Telcos and tech service providers including Telstra, Google, Apple and Facebook will be forced to co-operate with Australian intelligence and security agencies seeking access to the encrypted data of suspected terrorists, hackers and cyber-criminals, under what the government claims will be the most comprehensive set of cyber-surveillance laws and a test case for the rest of the world."

This is why we need decentralized projects.

I don't save my money on bank account anymore - who else like me?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 10:50 AM PDT

I heared about Bitcoin when the price is about $200 - but at that time, I searched about it, and completely ignored it. It wasn't interesting for me at that time. As I am growing older and learning more about econimics as my hobby, my view has been changed.

So I revisited Bitcoin not that long ago - and then I figured out this is 'the sh1t'. This is the next big thing. I researched all cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies for couple monthes - I barely slept and ate while I was researching. Bitcoin blew my mind it's because it IS perfect technologically and economically. After that, I decided not to put my money on the bank. Saving money on the bank account doesn't really make sense. And also, I pulled out all my money from the stock market. I told this my parents, and they called me I am crazy haha (I haven't told this to all my friends though, and I think I won't).

And for me, I don't really care about today's Bitcoin price. If the price goes up, it's good because I hold bitcoins. If the price goes down, it's good because I can buy more with the cheap price.

Plus, I decided not to tell this story to my friends - I am thinking about the future, and it can be very dangerous for me if I told to someone that I own single bitcoin.

This is just short story of my life.

Wozniak also said something far more important, pertinent and worth reiterating

    Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:12 AM PDT

When asked about altcoins, he rightly pointed out that ALL altcoins compromise on the quiddity of blockchain, trustlessness and decentralization, to have a business model. That's exactly what altcoins are, a business, a scammy business.

Any ledger which does not practice permissionless, decentralized book-keeping is not immutable, not trustless and is effectively the same old GAFA gang(Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple) under the pretext of 'blockchain technology'.

Next time you see a 'blockchain project' with C-suites, just say, "No, thank you!"
