Code is easy enough to figure out and get configured for yourself.

Temps turn red if they go over 75 C.

Comes configured for 5 gpus, but its simple to add more as long as you can figure out a little regex.

That was fast! Amazon prices on 1060 3gb cards already back to $225 new on Asus dual fan ones. Your observations on GPU prices?

    Posted: 03 May 2018 07:30 AM PDT

Thats what I had payed originally during non-inflated times. The deflation cycle is already complete or underway??? after the announcement of ASIC ending equihash mining or is that an in general trend thing? Im gonna check more card prices.

Im guessing my used ones wont be worth more then like 150-175 then?

Hvac question Furnace fan seems very weak now weather is hot

    Posted: 03 May 2018 05:38 AM PDT

Barely feel the furnace fan when on. Is it because the gpu is sucking all the cold air in the house ? Do I need to equalize the pressure in mining area? have two exhaust fans and one intake in the mining area. I don't recall having this problem in the winter. Furnace heat was strong

    Nicehash GPU settings difficulty (1080ti)

    Posted: 03 May 2018 02:56 AM PDT

Set my rig up last month, been mining ravencoin on ravenminer and loving it. 65% +35OC -502 Mem Fans 70% Runs mid to high 50C Averaging 200 RVN a day on 2 1080 ti

My brother suggested nicehash, set it up and.... We spent a couple hours trying to dial in the GPU settings and for the life of us could not get them below low 70C.

Anyone with a dual 1080ti set up on nicehash that can enlighten me? Id greatly appreciate it. Also, when it switches coin for profitability will the settings need to be adjusted again?

RVN seems like a cakewalk compared to nicehash. I just don't wanna torch my fancy new rig accidentally.

Want to build my first mining rig.

    Posted: 02 May 2018 11:22 PM PDT

If money is no object and I have access to free electricity, is the 1080 Ti the best mining GPU? Am I limited to mining 1 coin at a time, or can the rig be set up to switch over to mining another coin on its own (or remote management)?

Ready to pull the trigger now. I'm not really worried about the time it takes to break even the source capital is 100% profit from crypto investment. I just want to maximize my gains on a day-forward basis (calculating profitability from day 1, onward).

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone else stream specific user old to new youtube playlists without adblocker on their rigs?
It seems like a way to generate extra profit at no additional cost in the form of ad revenue for a user of your choosing.

Most people don't realize they convert their desktop into a mining rig while still retaining full functionality, I explain my setup in this video.

    R9 270x 4GB. Fans Max = 90c mining. Is it ok?

    Posted: 02 May 2018 12:33 PM PDT

I throw equihash at it and it stays at 90c endlessly.

    Think its safe?

Black screen when trying to boot in safe mode to use DDU

    Posted: 02 May 2018 11:55 AM PDT

Hi all. I have never experienced this before. I am trying to boot into safe mode to use Display Driver Uninstaller and after Windows loads the screen just goes blank. The monitor still gets signal but it's just a black screen when the welcome screen/desktop should appear. I have tried this both with GPUs connected and disconnected and also with BIOS set to use GPU and again with only integrated graphics to no avail.

Do you think I need to disable 4g decoding before attempting safe mode? That's all I can think of at this point.

Finalizing my build, any obvious issues?

    Posted: 02 May 2018 11:54 AM PDT

First off I'd like to thank this community for helping me; it has been a valuable resource for learning about crypto and computers.

I posted a week ago my build, got some critiques and suggestions. I tried to incorporate the advice I received and put together this new build. Please let me know how it looks. I am using graphics cards I already own, so those prices can be ignored. My main point of concern is power cables, making sure I have the right amount of connections. (this has been a bit confusing for me).

Does this build look reasonable now? I plan to build a DIY from from some homedepot shelving. I know its not exactly a beast of a machine but this is my first build and I wanna start small. I plan on adding 2 more cards if things run smoothly. My confusion surrounding the power supply and gpus is this: I have 3 570/580s which take an 8 pin, a 550 which only takes power from the riser, and then maybe adding 2 cards (lets assume 570s, which would need 2 more 8pin). I need 5 8pins, and then power for 6 risers. According to the hardware guide, my PSU has 8 8pins and 4 perif ports, so I should have enough to power everything correct? What is the best method to power a riser? It seems like a direct line from my PSU to each riser was the safest and best way (like a 6pin to 6pin/ 6pin to molex -- does that make sense, can you use the 8pin PSU connections to power risers?), do I need to get any special connection cords?

Thank yall so much, I hope I'm not being annoying, I just wanna make sure I'm not messing things up since this will be my first build.

Best global Nvidia 3D settings for mining? (as of 397.31)

    Posted: 02 May 2018 09:56 AM PDT

The only change I've made is setting "Power management mode" to "Adaptive," and was wondering if there are any others that could/should be changed for optimal mining. Or if my change is even necessary (it gives an extra 0.5 Mh/s on average).

Nicehash probability calculator shows very low profit. Is GPU mining dead?

    Posted: 02 May 2018 03:17 PM PDT

So I have been looking at mining crypto for over 7 months now, but never had enough money. Now that I do, I noticed that profit from GPU mining has dropped a lott. I am very interested in mining as I have free electricity :). But I don't want to risk the money I have as I worked very hard for it, I remember 6 months ago mining with 6 gpu's (1080 To) could make you 1000$ per month but now it can make a Max of 600$ which is an approximate of 10 months before making any profit. Does this mean it will keep decreasing as difficulty is increasing.

Also since I have free electricity which GPU do u guys recommend (looking for a cheap one!)

    Thanks!
