Adoption levels will begin to cap if the user experience isn't improved for crypto markets. As bad as relying on a single exchange like Coinbase is, it is really only choice for beginners that makes the process simple enough for the average person to get involved.

Cobinhood Exchange; easy trading trading strategies for newbs

    Posted: 06 May 2018 01:33 PM PDT

Cobinhood Exchange is the first zero fee exchange, which allows for a little fun and easy profit by exchanging between different cryptocurrencies.

My strategy has been to pick two cryptos that I am confident with long term, then to set positions on each, so, for example perhaps I set positions to sell eth for btc at 0.08, 0.09. 0.1, etc. and as each completes I set a position to buy back more at 0.07, 0.08, 0.09 taking a little profit on every trade. Perhaps it would be more profitable to sell each at the top and buy at the bottom, but I'm effectively taking the risk out. Worst case scenario one moonshoots and I am left holding the other (I thought earlier in the year eth had, but left my buy positions, and they all got filled during the dip, and now I'm selling again).

Another arbitrage I've been experimenting with is moving across several cryptos. I've set up a spreadsheet with the price of each so, eg. eth/btc to btc/eos to eos/eth, and when a profitable trade opens up I execute (this has been less profitable for me so far).

Anyway, here is by referral link, if you sign up using this we both get a free spin on their candy machine (which gives a free unit of a 'random' crypto (usually something almost worthless, but potentially up to a bitcoin, then, if you stay with the exchange and verify the account we both get 10 spins each):

Interview with Phillip Windley, Chairman of the Sovrin Foundation

    Posted: 06 May 2018 05:53 PM PDT

I've been holding & occasionally trading crypto since 2015. Check out my portfolio and let me know what you think about my positions and choices.

    Posted: 06 May 2018 09:06 AM PDT

    Portfolio here

I first started out in the crypto space back in 2015 where I was exclusively buying bitcoin on Coinbase and trading on Paxful. At the time, I was unknowingly putting in more money than I could afford to not have readily available to spend, and ended up selling my bitcoins for a meager profit because I had to move. At that point in time, bitcoin was the only crypto I would even entertain buying. I spent the next year bitter at myself for not having the foresight to keep fiat in hand in case something came up, and spent much of my free time researching altcoins and occasionally dollar cost averaging bitcoin.

For unrelated reasons, my current portfolio contains no bitcoin. I'm not going to dive into all the metrics or "undervalued!" shilling we read here on a daily basis - just going to explain why I was/am attracted to these assets.

    Let's start largest to smallest.

    Ethereum -

ETH was the first altcoin I ever bought. After extensive research, I became really attracted to the idea of a platform in the crypto space. The concept of a symbiotic relationship between a platform and it's underlying tokens was ultimately the biggest catalyst for my ETH/ERC20 leaning holdings.

    OmiseGo -

OMG was the first ERC20 token that really caught my attention. It was my primary catalyst for exploring other exchanges and wallets outside of Coinbase/GDAX. Facilitation of currency-agnostic payments on the blockchain is something I personally found very desirable.

    Ripple -

I'll be honest, I FOMO'd into XRP expecting to dump in the near future because of all the reddit shilling. After understanding that XRP is centralized and intends to integrate with existing systems and industries instead of trying to defeat them, I decided it would be a very safe bet in the likely event of massive regulation. Their recent endeavor to go after the derivatives market is sparking a new found confidence in XRP, as well.

    Request Network -

In my opinion, just great idea & product built by a great team. It's not re-inventing the wheel of online payments and has many competitors, but they do what they do well. Plugins and token burns will be great for the adoption rates and value.

    Vechain Thor -

Blockchain + logistics/shipping/material tracking/fighting counterfeiting is a fucking match made in heaven. Phenomenal use of blockchain.

    NEO -

Another platform a-la-Ethereum, which I have a weakness for. My position is very recent, and while I'm still a bit skeptical, the current value is an absolute steal and my confidence in eventually profiting trumps my concerns of adoption.

    Bloom Token -

BLT was the only ICO I've ever participated in. While it's true that it's simply a utility token that the team doesn't intend to push onto exchanges, decentralized credit scoring is an incredibly ambitious idea (and an amazing use of blockchain). Tons of partnerships, and the team is brilliant as well.

    A Growing Market Topic

    Posted: 06 May 2018 01:55 PM PDT

I believe with the credit that crypto is gaining from the large institutions we will see a huge surge. My question is this; Bitcoin is definitely the coin everyone thinks of when referring to crypto, you would like to think that the institutions would move their money into BTC then... but, big money will more than likely use hedge funds, and institutions have their crypto experts that are already involved. So, there is a huge divide between BTC and BCH followers. Experts and Hedge Funds included. Do you believe that BTC will leave the major coins behind in a gap, leaving them to catch up later?

I think we will likely not see a balanced investing during the next bull run, and what used to be a large gap between the benchmarks of each major coin, closing in on BTC. ETH and BCH both have major Cryptocurrency experts following them over BTC. And the BTC family is strong too. But, I believe this will be a gap closing run for BCH and BTC.
