- All I keep hearing is that Bitcoin Cash is an infested cesspool of lawless, leaderless, disrespectful, narcissistic, greedy, scammy, capitalistic anarchists that will never create digital money! I swear I’m getting dejavu!
- The amount of attacks/hate BCH receives - memes, jokes, insults - is proof it's a threat, and succeeding

Posted: 01 May 2018 02:45 PM PDT edit1: I am not the only person today that they hit with this. Lots of twitter accounts of people passionate about Bitcoin got hit by them today. Jezus /u/theymos, I am a 33-year-old street artist who likes Bitcoin Cash because I make more money off my music because of it now. Leave me the fuck alone, If I pose a threat to your little empire then you are going down cause I am just an adult with still a lot of kid alive inside of him. A old kid that kept grinding on the whitepaper until he understood what it was, unlike 99% of the peeps in /r/bitcoin. (at the moment, because the people with knowledge have been pushed away and the remaining peopel with knowledge are the ones that did the pushing) I don't have a cellphone with SMS at the moment, so hooray for your minions. After getting banned from /r/bitcoin now you get me banned from twitter. You twat. Is this what you do, fight the little guy? Anyway even if I had a phone right now I don't want to give twitter my phone number. So I had appealed the suspension decision and I guess I will just have to wait until twitter report back to me. So I am locked out of my twitter for maybe a week. Not the end of the world. But yeah if newbies are reading this. In case you did not know the truth yet. The devs that claim they are trying to make Bitcoin-BTC a success are either victims of their leaders or bad people that have hidden agendas that you don't know about. The people currently working on the Bitcoin-BTC project don't consider human freedom something important. They don't agree that people should have the right to free speech. If these Bitcoin-BTC supporters would feel different about these core human values, their actions would be radically different then they are now. I can say fuck you Roger ver as much as I want to, but there is really no reason for me to say that. But he is not going to spend money so he can click my report button 200 times from 200 different IP addresses and accounts just so I can't tweet for a week. Now imagine if you are Roger Ver, how much shit do you think THIS guy has to put up with when even insignificant shitposters like myself run into these things (I do have a good idea once in a while) . They tried to hack my Belgium email and failed but once where able to hack my github and now these people that claim that bitcoin is about freedom and changing the world and about being permissionless have taken the right in to their own hands and have forced their will, to not have me tweet for a week, upon me and twitter by abusing their reporting system. This is what we are up against. This is what the people that love Bitcoin are up against. And by Bitcoin I mean the vision behind it, the idea behind it, the plan, what the problem was and what the solution is. Bitcoin-BTC is going in the complete opposite direction and the market know is, so don't be surprised when there really is a flipping and hash power death spiral and all the victims of theymos censorship lose a lot of money. Beause if a flippening like that happens, even those that want to exchange their Bitcoin-BTC for Bitcoin-BCH might find that they are unable to do so before the price of Bitcoin-BTC has collapsed. We try to be somewhat transparent and straight forward and how I felt about Bitcoin in 2011 and now is still the exact same thing. But the other side: they hate Bitcoin, and they want it destroyed. If you don't see this you are still blinded or you know it and you are laughing a bit evil right now. That's all. God, I hope Satoshi will one day come back and totally own all these people that thought they could hijack and kill his baby project before it became a teenager. You guys are going to fail because Satoshi is an idea, a very good idea and ideas are bulletproof. And as freedom on the internet erodes you will see more and more people move to platforms like memo.cash where NOBODY in the world can take my right to free speech away. So what you are doing is annoying the shit out of me right now, but long term it will only lead to a better internet with more freedom. The internet sees censorship as damage and routes around it. And now the internet has seen financial censorship as damage and is routing around it. And there is NOTHING you can do about it. It might take 20 years but it's going to happen. Stall as much as you want to /u/theymos. You are getting weaker and we are getting stronger. Long life the original bitcoin idea and vision, which we simply refer to as "Satoshi his idea". That what we got excited about and you won't be able to take that from us. /u/theymos is a coward, that's why he is annoymous. And a bully. I survived my bullies at school and I will survive your bullying as well /u/theymos. edit2: Somebody from the Bitcoin Cash community who got hit this morning with the same exactt thing helped me out with a phone number and now my account is unlocked. It's good to have friends. We are not alone in this fight. edit3: I guess I can consider it an honor they consider my tweets a threat to whatever powers are behind this. I hardly ever tweet and have like a 100 followers and 10 of them are familly. So I don't see the point .. but ah well all is good now. I guess I am on their list now and next time I get hit again. When twitter made the tweets longer I started to use it more and now I am using it more because of Bitcoin Cash. But man, all freedom on the internet is going away so fricking fast. We got work to do. edit4: Somebody should collect the stories of all the bullying that antibitcoin has done in the last 5 years. It would make a long post that's for sure. Did you guys know during the days of trying to get the Bitcoin XT fork to finally break free from core that their DDOS made internet in a rural village impossible because the Bitcoin XT node got 10 gbit of upload on to it and it broke the entire rural provider for a couple of days? Or something like that, I would have to look up the story again. FINAL EDIT: We are the remnant but since the rest of the early Bitcoin community got splintered we are not the minority. More and more people that care about crypto and Bitcoin becoming successful will regroup and join us, I am sure of it. And the only way for crypto/Bitcoin to become successful is to have an international, on-line, digital native payment system that is open to every human with an internet connection, as fast as other payment solutions, less of a hassle to use, and cheaper for both high and low value transactions. If Satoshi had a blind cat, and that blind cat had a guide dog even a flea on that dogs fur would have enough common sense to be able to agree with me on this. RANT OVER. (Keep making me angry /u/theymos, it's like an energy drink for my Bitcoin passion) [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 May 2018 07:28 PM PDT Seriously - you don't taunt, insult, and make fun of something that is zero threat. You ignore it. I learned this as an entrepreneur. When you're starting out online, nobody hassles you. Because they don't even know who you are. You don't get trolls, haters, threats, or any of the other crazy shit that any BIG online entrepreneur/personality gets. The fact that BCH is getting so much shit just shows it's significant and a big threat. [link] [comments]

E-commerce platform in Kenya gives upto 70% Discount for Bitcoin Cash Purchases Posted: 01 May 2018 05:51 PM PDT Depot.co.ke - An e-commerce platform in Kenya is giving its customers upto 70% discount for purchases made on its website to encourage the adoption of Bitcoin Cash. Purchases can only be made in Bitcoin Cash. Although currently stocked with only one item that is locally assembled by a team of engineers, the startup is confident that it's product base will grow with time as it continues to focus on creating opportunities for self employment especially among the youth. The current challenge they face is educating their users on downloading, installing and loading their wallets to enable them make purchases. Other payment options are available for over-the-counter or door to door sales. They rely on contributions to cover the cost of sales. Edit: They also have a store on OpenBazaar : ob://QmZoUifEdsG6gP2r8EZfdkrdY3SBcDCTMLchRHD2sRqnzg/store [link] [comments]

Eltoo would enable LN on BCH! (and does not need segwit lol) Posted: 01 May 2018 10:54 AM PDT If you read the paper carefully the only thing necessary for eltoo to function is the new SigHash type SIGHASH_NOINPUT. In the paper P2SH and P2WSH are used interchangeably, meaning that you can use it without using segwit addresses and therefore without a transaction malleability fix. So after all the drama segwit wasn't even necessary for LN. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 May 2018 10:43 AM PDT Hey all! This is the first time I've ever posted on Reddit, and I just wanted to share a little story of how I got into Bitcoin Cash. I first heard about Bitcoin back in 2013 after reading a very interesting article in Maximum PC magazine. The concept of a decentralized, censorship-resistant form of money intrigued me. However, it wasn't until several years later, in 2017, that a few YouTube videos caught my eye and really got me invested into learning as much as I possibly could. I bought some Bitcoin and played around by sending it between wallets, and the genius of it just blew me away. However, when the August 1st fork happened, and Bitcoin split in two, I had no idea what to make of it. I was a member of r/Bitcoin at the time, and after reading post after post about "BCash" and how it was a hostile take-over attempt on Bitcoin, I just assumed that they were right. As we all remember, the blocks became full by December and fees went through the roof. I distinctly remember paying about $40 for one transaction! At that point, I realized that Bitcoin (Core) had no real future ahead of it. The Lightning Network seemed promising to me, but when I actually tried to setup a node on the testnet, I saw firsthand the technical complexity. I knew that, regardless of the technical obstacles, Lightning alone would not solve the issue of scaling Bitcoin. Just a few weeks ago, I decided to give Bitcoin Cash another look. After reading the entirety of bitcoincash.org, I came to the realization that Bitcoin Cash is exactly what I wanted Bitcoin to be in the first place: fast and affordable, but still decentralized and censorship-resistant. I made the surprisingly easy decision to exchange all of my Bitcoin (Core) for Bitcoin Cash, and after trying it out a few times, I knew that I made the right choice. And now here I am today, a Bitcoin Cash fan and user, excited to join this community and eager to see what's next for the internet of money. :) [link] [comments]

London Block Exchange Lists Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum Classic Due to Popular Demand Posted: 01 May 2018 06:45 AM PDT
Posted: 01 May 2018 09:32 PM PDT BTC may currently have most cumulative proof-of-work, but this is irrelevant because BTC has been invalid per the white paper (i.e. did not follow Nakamoto Consensus) ever since block 494,782. This is a factual determination of "validity" that can never be rectified by BTC unless someone rolls it back and restarts the chain at 494,783 with "2x" included. Therefore, BTC is not Bitcoin now, nor can it ever be going forward. BCH is already Bitcoin, because it is the valid SHA256 block chain that has most cumulative proof-of-work. With almost a $9k valuation, BTC continues to be something, but it's definitely no longer "Bitcoin". [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2018 09:29 PM PDT I think it would be cool to put some of my favorite books that I don't want anybody to ever censor or take away from the world ... on to the Bitcoin Cash blockchain and I would like to start with the bible. 0.00001 BCH per KB × 4MB × 1024 to get KB x 1400 USD per BCH = about 60 USD. Is the price per KB really that low? [link] [comments] |
