Warning this is a bull trap... happens every Friday like clock work.

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:27 PM PDT

This little bump up in price is a bull trap happens like clock work, as my previous predictions are still proving true, prepare for a drop below .45 to probably .38 to .42 range, just saying this so people are not in shock.

I myself am waiting on the bounce back which we have done time and time again, after a new low we then take a run upwards to try and reverse the trend, hopefully this is the last new low, should happen by tues.

edit: for a good sign at trend reversal we need at least .30 to .40 cent run up, a .10 to .20 wont do it.

    XRP is here to stay

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 07:10 PM PDT

Man, I know this is another one of "those" posts, but I can't believe the current price! I load up every. Single. Day. The current pricing is obviously completely reliant to the crypto leader, Bitcoin, the stock market, and the uncertainty of this potential trade war, but Ripple/XRP is lightyears ahead of anything in this industry, and I have full faith and confidence that soon it will break the Bitcoin's shadow and become a fully realized asset. The technology, implementation, partnerships, support, leaves me NO DOUBT this is the best Innovation to hit our financial sector this decade, if not longer. #xrpthestandard is groundbreaking, and will go down in history as a game changer.

Would you be interested in tutorials?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 09:27 AM PDT

Just a thought after being introduced to all the technical capabilities of the RippleNet / XRPL. There are some very useful things for wallet holders out there that I don't believe many know how to actually do. Perhaps as a community we could put together some tutorials?

I'm thinking of videos/posts that demonstrate the following, step-by-step, using the TestNet:

    • What the TestNet is and why you should play around on it to learn these things safely, before doing them on your actual wallets!
    • What the available open-source tools are for interacting with the Ripple/TestNet
    • What key rotation is and how to do it (it lets you swap out your private key for another private key I think).
    • How to make a transaction from your wallet without exposing your private key to the internet at all using offline transaction signing.
    • Trustlines - what, why and how?

    etc...

What other topics would be useful? Do you know of any good resources out there that may aid in making these tutorials?

My first thought is that much of this will be on XRPChat - but if we can gauge what is least known vs. what would be most useful to know, then perhaps there would be room for such video tutorials?

    Cheers

I have an XRP and "Regulatory certainty" question?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 05:21 PM PDT

Back ground - I was watching this interview with Coinbase President Asiff Herji :

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Go5Lv_w98FU&feature=youtu.be

At 7:20 they start discussing listing new tokens and he starts going on about regulatory certainty of tokens and how the listed tokens all have some amount of "regulatory certainty" around them. Near the end (9:50) he confirms that all the coins they list have "regulatory certainty" and all the coins they don't list have "regulatory UNcertainty".

So my question - What is the "regulatory certainty" around BTC, BCash, ETH and LTC that allows them to be listed?

Quick question about Toast Wallet - will my account be activated if someone sends ME more than 20 XRP?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 08:39 AM PDT

Little confused here. The faq says:

"You need to send at least 20 XRP to the new address to activate it on the Ripple network. If you send less than 20 XRP to your account that payment will bounce and return to the sender. If you sent this from an exchange then this payment will end up in your exchange's hot wallet and you will likely need to contact them to have it credited back to your exchange account. "
But if someone sends me me >20 XRP instead, will that activate the account? Or do I have to buy them on my own?

What are arguments for and against defining XRP as a security?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 03:09 PM PDT

Coinbase seems to think that since Ripple could come in and settle a dispute on the XRPL(they can do that right?), that it will be considered a security and NOT an asset or commodity. That is why they won't list us, so they must have a fairly sound argument, right? What is that argument?

    Losing the magic

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 09:10 AM PDT

Man...buying my first $500 of BTC in Nov, and then XRP in December for $0.70 and watching it explode through the roof to $3.50+ over the following 2-4 weeks, while constantly purchasing more was, in hindsight....not the ideal way to enter into the cryto world. Holy cow.

It was like losing my virginity to a V.S. model, and then constantly striking out with 3s and 4s for the next few months.. Like 'How did this happen?! Where'd my magic powers go?!'.

I still hodl strong, still have the faith, and still purchase a bit here and there to bring down my avg buy number, which is around $1. But yeah, probably would have had better perspective if I got 4-5 months of relatively stable value instead of mooning IMMEDIATELY.

I don't know if a lot of Zerpers on here fall into this category, but I know that I tend to overlook the fact that it's normal to be impatient after having THAT as my first experience....these are the times that separate the men from the boys.
