| Isn’t a looming Trade War great for crypto? Posted: 08 Apr 2018 07:49 PM PDT I'm thinking since trade wars create both deadweight loss in the economy and inflationary pressure in domestic and foreign government backed fiat currency wouldn't assets such as crypto currencies or precious metals be expected to soar in value in this environment? I'd assume with obvious inflationary concerns investor would seek to protect the purchasing power of their principal by divesting from fiat. Could be what's happening now. Seeing a great pop today but still no where near my $1,500 LTC target. I still think it's inevitable. Lots of FUD and profit taking have pushed value down since the highs but the threat of a trade war between the largest economies in the world prompts a pretty serious use case for real world value of holding crypto assets. Putting it simply all fiat is subject to geo political risk so holding government backed currencies has plenty of FUD on it's own. All the crypto FUD in the world doesn't change the fact that governments do collapse and their money can go to shit. Not blockchain though... blockchain is forever. Thoughts? [link] [comments]  | ||

I have no intention of launching a coin or anything, I just want to play with the code. If I fork litecoin, can someone help me understand what basic changes I need to make to the coin? Specifically where to make those changes? I thought I got most of them in chainparams.cpp, but my compiler is failing: So I screwed up somewhere, and I think it's because I didn't [properly] change the private keys.
