    eGifter now accepting Litecoin

    Posted: 10 Apr 2018 08:26 AM PDT

This bear market is setting the stage for a move, unlike anything we have seen before. If Bitcoin can rise to $20,000 and Litecoin can hit $300 with little to no institutional backing, then the stage has been set for a fun ride ahead for those that hodl.

    Let's talk about community posts

    Posted: 10 Apr 2018 12:01 PM PDT

The quality of posts on r/litecoin has been steadily decreasing over the past few months. It's pretty much been reduced to:

    1. memes
    2. price speculation posts
    3. business posts (which is fair)
    4. posts asking for help (totally acceptable)
    5. Litecoin news but also general crypto news.

These aren't bad in of itself and is most likely representative of all the new people that have come in.

But I'd like for us to focus on creating but also upvoting quality posts. Here are some of the topics I believe would really be helpful:

    1. Technology posts past, present, and future. (Sharing or asking about how something works in blockchain tech.)
    2. Litecoin Network posts (hashrate distribution, wallet address creation, fees, volume, etc) and analyzing that info. Infographics would be great.
    3. Educational guides for tougher Litecoin apps like full nodes, how to mine, how to use the command line in litecoin core, etc.

Sure these posts are harder to write and require research, but they bring a lot more value to the community. Not sure where to start? Here are some resources I suggest:

    1. Mastering Bitcoin
    2. Bitcoin-dev guide (this is where I learned most of my stuff)
    3. The search bar in both r/litecoin and r/bitcoin

    Bitmain new Scrypt miner?

    Posted: 10 Apr 2018 10:16 AM PDT

Our friends at Bitmain have dropped the price of their Scrypt miner, the L3+ to $462 USD. That is an incredible drop from where it was yesterday, let alone two months ago. Does this signal a new Scrypt miner?

    Alternative to LoafWallet on iOS?

I lost my coins after the update, and it was never resolved. Is there another wallet available on iOS that anyone has tried and would recommend?

What About GOX Trustee BCH? Where is it now?

    Posted: 10 Apr 2018 08:11 AM PDT

Been reading a few articles about how the "Tokyo Whale" (aka the trustee for Mt. Gox) is selling 1000s of BTC at a time to compensate those who lost - thus driving the current price of BTC (and LTC) down. It all sounds logical that once this is over the price will rebound.

But it hit me that this same trustee (Tokyo Whale) should have also gained control over an equal amount of BCH from the split back in Aug 2017.

So what do people think in likely happening to this GOX trustee BCH. Why isn't he dumping it on the market at a tremendous rate? Or better yet, why didn't he dump all BCH back when the price was higher?

Does anyone know if ALL TRUSTEE HELD GOX BCH gone at this point is the question for the group, and if not why? When the trustees only duty is to pay back losses in fiat, it seems like a no brainer that you would sell off all the BCH first before you began selling of BTC.

Where to buy a physical ltc?

    Posted: 09 Apr 2018 08:15 PM PDT

Are there any physical LTC out there? Ideally the metal itself stores the private key of some kinds and I could just charge it? So that I can gift the coin to family and friends

Do the Top 50 wallets belong to the exchanges, or are there Whales out there sending and receiving thousands of LTC daily?
